So, I officially gave my notice at work today. It's been about 2 months coming-we have had issues with Anders daycare, my position has turned into more of an "assistant" position than the one I was hired for, and I simply want to be home with Anders. Plus, we have some pretty high stress stuff going on with our personal lives and our families (sick grandparents, major surgery for parents, possible cross country move AGAIN) that will involve lots of travel in the next 4 months.
My office was super supportive of me leaving-I have them 3 weeks since I have travel planned the last week of July, and told me that if I change my mind I am always welcome to come back. And it was really hard to tell them because they have been awesome to work for!
I'm really excited to spend more time with Anders, and get ready for #2. The first time it was pretty hard, but we have started developing a support system, and the next 6+ months are insane for us, so I am feeeling pretty confident about this time around.
And if you made it through this much of my sleep deprived (thank you fireworks) rambling, I am impressed.
Happy Monday!
Re: SAHM round 2
Hey that's exciting!
How big is Mr. Anders now?
We are offically in 2T clothing at 13 months....AHHH!
He's 33" and 25 lbs. Our dr is guessing 6'4"-6'6" for a final height. I kid you not, this kid is HUGE and tons of craziness! How is KR doing?
So glad you made the decision that is best for your family! You must feel lighter with that weight lifted off your shoulders. T&Ps going out ot you and your family.
Where would you move too? Back to the east coast or the west?
East Coast. We want to be within a 1 day drive of our families.
Sounds like you've got a lot going on - I'm glad leaving this job isn't going to add to your stress!
Where on the EC are you guys looking at? Would it be the same company or a new one?

If you are close to VT you could be close to here. The birthday twins could meet some day
We are looking mostly in the DC and NYC area. Sean has a lot of Federal experience and with his job, it's easiest to be close to a major airport/city. It would be with a new company-his current one is treating him like crap and also would NEVER let him relocate. I so want to be near DC-we have a lot of family/friends in the MD/DC/VA area and it's an area right up our alley.
Plus we could/would totally be zipping up to Boston regularly (lots of family there) which means the date twins would HAVE to get together!
I love the DC area! Totally a great place to raise a family.
It must be a cost-of-living shock after where you guys are, though! lol

Oh totally! Thankfully, the area we are really looking at moving to is about 2% higher than where we lived in VT, so since we are used to that for 90% of our lives, I don't think it will be that bad.
At 2 months he was: Height: 25.4 inches Weight: 13 lbs 13 oz
At 4 months he was: 27.5 inches long, 17.12 lbs
Sounds like you may have a big kid on your hands too!
