1) Did you survive running in the heat?
2) Whats the plan for this week?
Re: Runners Check in
1) I actually didn't run last week because I've had family in town.
2) This week I want to get 2 3-mile runs in before my 10K on Sunday. Thankfully it wont be as hot. I dont have any goals.. but to have fun during the race. I've been trying to just have fun running and not focus too much on time or distance lately. I have mixed feelings about that of course, but its a nice break.

1) Did you survive running in the heat? Though I'm in Portland, it was HOT this weekend...i survived an 18 miler in the heat and a hilly course! I was proud of myself!
2) Whats the plan for this week? Buidling up for the big 2-0 this weekend...then time to taper for SF! I did 5 yesterday, try for 6 today, 7 tomorrow and 3 on Friday. Again...HOT today and tomorrow, so that will be fun. (yuck!)
1) Did you survive running in the heat? I survived, but barely. Heh. Tried to run early to avoid the mid-day heat, but it was still SO warm by 9am. I did my best though.
2) Whats the plan for this week? My usual-3 days/5-5.5 miles each day. Going to sign up for San Jose RnR soon. Training will start early August for that. I need to work towards something.
1) Thursday night was kind of a crummy run for me, but I don't think it was from the heat. Saturday morning we ran at Heather Farms in Walnut Creek. We started at 8, and only went for 45 minutes, but it was already quite warm. Fortunately the path was fairly shaded, so I didn't do too bad. We had planned to run the San Ramon 5k on the 4th, but it was just too hot, and DH ended up being called into work the night before (and didn't get home until 9 am on Monday), so we skipped it.
2) Last night we had our track workout. Only 9 people showed up. It was definitely tough, but I was proud of myself for going and pushing through it. We'll see how the rest of the week goes. Saturday is a planned 5 mile run, but it looks like the weather should be a bit cooler.
