Re: i'm used to people getting my name wrong but...

  • You've mentioned this before - and I always think it's so odd.  I mean Eden isn't super common, sure, but the random names people come up with... so weird.  and the FB thing - that is super weird.  With your name like RIGHT there.

I've been called both Tiffany and Bethany - but those are via phone calls so I must say Stephanie weird or something when I introduce myself or they aren't listening well enough.

  • Could it have been an iPhone typo? I often type Tim but my phone corrects it to Tom all the time, so annoying. Either way it's annoying.  I often get Susan or Suzanne, which neither are my name and I don't like that.

  • I dont get the FB thing either unless it was an auto correct mistake like Suzy said.

I am forever being called Deanna, Dana, Tina, Gina, Nina etc. I am also guilty of just assuming that somebody saying any of those names is talking to me. I was working in the ER yesterday and there was a tech working named Nina. It drove me crazy all day long b/c I thought people where talking to me.

We had a cardiac arrest yesterday and the ER Dr. kept calling the ICU PA Steve instead of Joe. I corrected him once or twice but when you are doing CPR correcting peoples names are the least of your concern.

  • I get Ashley, Ashford, Ashton, Ashen, Ashes, Ingrid... I feel ya.
