WOW - just speechless

I can't believe she's free! I pray she never has a child again! Sad thing is that she is going to make millions off of this and will live the "beautiful life" she's always wanted. BIG fail on account of the prosecution. BIG fail on the jury!

The bolded part is true, but the jury part is not. The prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence to warrant a conviction in the eyes of the jury - so yes, they failed. They didn't meet their burden of proof. The jury did not fail for finding her not guilty without sufficient evidence.

I have to agree.  I bet the majority of the jury believes she did it, but unfortunately the prosecution didn't prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

  • The prosecution did a great job...the evidence just was not there.  I said all along I was seeing too much reasonable doubt.  As an attorney, I am really proud that the jury was able to see past emotions and follow the law.  As a human and soon to be mother, I am sad that she is going unpunished.

Yes. I think it's amazing that they were able to push past their feelings and stick with the law.

but it still sucks that no one is being punished for the death of a baby.
