What's your favorite song right now? on the radio: Edge of Glory (duh, any Gaga is an obsession), not on the radio: I am really into the new Airbourne Toxic Event CD

What is the thing about CB that most turns you on? he is so smart and so funny, a winning combo

Who's your favorite niner? the person who asked this question Wink

What's your worst habit?CB would say that I am bad at putting caps/tops on things. I always forget to screw the lid of the OJ container on and he shakes it up and it spills everywhere. Oops! My response would be that I'm really indecisive and forgetful. And I sweat/stress A LOT of things I probably shouldn't.

Do you exercise on a regular basis? Yes and no. I'll go on spurts where I'm a workout queen then a spurt where I'm a lazy bum. Right now I'm in the latter spurt but I have been doing exercises in the pool the past couple of days since it's been so hot.

What's your favorite household tip to share? the absolute best way to clean your microwave is to put a bowl of hot water with the juice of a few lemons squeezed into it and microwave for 4-5 minutes. The steam from the water gets all the gunk off and the lemon makes it smell fresh and clean. After it's done, remove the bowl, wipe everything down, and you're done! I also swear by my Steam and Sweep Shark... it's the best thing ever!

Would YOU eat a live octopus for $1,000? Never.in.a.million.years. SICK

  • What do you think are your 3 best qualities? 3 worst?

Who would you choose to play you in a movie about your life?

What is your favorite color to wear?

What kind of car do you drive? Do you like it?

What's the most daring thing you've ever done?

What is your favorite dinner to make? I love making soups/stews. In the fall/winter months, we have "Soup Sunday's" where I make a big pot of something that cooks all day and we have for dinner that night, lunches throughout the week. I especially love to use a whole chicken and make stock from scratch. It's the one thing I miss in the summer.

What is your favorite dessert? (not to make, just to eat) Apple pie, all from scratch. CB's fav.

Since I have the memory of a lawn ornament, what is it that you do for work? What is your favorite part about your job? Least favorite?  Right now, my job blows. I work for a temporary staffing agency. I got this job through a family friend and it really sucks, just not for me. I recruit people to work in highly skilled factory positions and most of them are total idiots. There is nothing I like about it. I am currently applying/interviewing for a variety of different positions as an advisor/counselor in schools. I have a master's in School Counseling and my background is in higher education recruitment and advising and I am trying to get back into that. Unfortunately, it's super competitive in NEOhio and schools are notoriously slow in the HR dept, so I might have to stick out this crappy job for the rest of the summer Sad

What is the best thing you've spent money on in the last few months? My Shark Steam/Sweep. I am so in love. I love that it doesn't use any chemicals to sanitize the floors and LOVE not having to sweep by hand anymore. It picks up so much more stuff than a normal broom or even a swifter!

Do you have any vacations coming up? Where are you going?  Nothing as of right now. Priority #1 once I get a new job is to book a vacation b/c it's been a tough couple of months and we really need it.

  • imageMrs. Mo:

What subject were you the best in during high school? English and Spanish. I have never been super strong at speaking Spanish but always understood it very well and could read and write it very well.

Did it eventually help you choose a career or was it something that you don't do anything with now? Nope, not really. I wish I spoke Spanish better b/c the area I work in has a high population of Spanish speaking people and it would be useful sometimes.

How many different hair colors have you had in your lifetime? I've always had the same brown hair, varying shades of light/dark. Have done highlights a few times and HATED them all.

What is your favorite nail polish shade for your fingers? Toes? Fingers - OPI Bubble Bath, always a classic and looks good with everything. Toes - OPI I'm India Mood for Love or Koala Berry. I also really like OPI Can You Tapas This? on both.

  • where is your favorite place to vacation?

    least favorite?

    whats your favorite wine?

do you consider yourself a wine snob or an equal opportunity wino?

    whats your favorite summer drink?

what strange thing WOULD you eat for $1000? a grasshopper perhaps?

if you had light cabinets in your kitchen and stainless steel appliances what color would you paint it?

if you could have anything for lunch right now, what would you eat?

What do you think are your 3 best qualities? 3 worst? Best - I'm super organized, trustworthy/reliable, and giving. Worst - I sweat the small stuff, am always anxious, and worry constantly.

Who would you choose to play you in a movie about your life? yikes, I have no idea. Pre-crazy Katie Holmes? I don't know.

What is your favorite color to wear? Brown

What kind of car do you drive? Do you like it? I have a Pontiac G6. It's OK, it has a lot of miles and is starting to feel kind of "worn".

What's the most daring thing you've ever done? Um.... I can't think of anything in particular. I told you before - I'm pretty boring.

  • imagemelpfaff:

What is your favorite vacation spot? We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and it'd be pretty hard to top that.

What is your favorite holiday? NYE! I love the idea of the "fresh start" of the new year, and how it is a continuation of the holiday season.

What would your dream job be? something about eating really expensive delicious food and /or drinking amazing wine and getting paid for it lol

  • imagesteeser03:

where is your favorite place to vacation? see above, I picked Hawaii!

least favorite? anywhere that doesn't involve sunshine and warmth. Like I'd never want to go to Alaska

whats your favorite wine? right now, Veramonte Savingon Blanc. The perfect summer white

do you consider yourself a wine snob or an equal opportunity wino? equal opportunity wino. I'm snobby to a point but will try anything once!

whats your favorite summer drink? Margarita, anything that's lime-y, Leinke's Summer Shandy, SANGRIA!

what strange thing WOULD you eat for $1000? a grasshopper perhaps? if it's moving, I don't give a crap how much you're paying me - I ain't eating it. I have a weak stomach when it comes to some textures.... I could never do the fear factor stuff

if you had light cabinets in your kitchen and stainless steel appliances what color would you paint it? I have always wanted a red kitchen... like a burgundy or wine color. Any deep rich color like that would be my preference, I'm not much of a light/pastel person.

if you could have anything for lunch right now, what would you eat? Chorizo quesadilla and fresh guac from the mexican cafe near me. I crave it all.the.time

  • imagelneuner09:

based on our shared love of Michael Symon....

Which of his restaurants have you eaten at, and which was your favorite? I have eaten at all of his restaurants in CLE: BSpot (the burger joint), Bar Symon, Lola, and Lolita. AMAZING. I'd say Lola was my fav, the food was amazing and I walked out of there engaged Smile. My least fav was Bar Symon (which has since closed) but it was owned by MS but he wasn't the exec chef, so the food wasn't as "him" as the other places. Sitll go

What has been the best dish you've eaten at one of his restaurants? the ricotta gnocchi with pork ragu at Lolita was to die for. I has a smoked pork loin with manchego polenta at Lola....mmmmm. And I've eaten about half of the burgers at BSpot and they're all delish.

Did you ever end up buying his cookbook? Yep! I regularly make the Lola ketchup, it's pretty much all we use now!

Have you ever seen him in person? (I'm going to be WAY jealous if you answer yes to this) Get ready to jealous - yep! I've seen him several times at the CLE Westide market. He lives abt 10 miles from me too Smile

I can't link from work Sad but I have the one that is both a steamer and a sweep. It's like $149 from bed bath and beyond. I highly recommend it. It's so easy to use and the cord is super long so you can do multiple rooms without unplugging.

  • Is this the same as the Lola ketchup?

    http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/food/recipes/michael-symons-spicy-ketchy/

I hate with a passion premade ketchup but until reading your post had never considered making my own.

What other things do you cook all the time?

    Are you still BNOTB?

    How is the pup?

I remember you saying once your house didn't have central air.  Is it fixed now?  Or do you just plain not have it?  If you don't have it, how do you live?!

Also, we may be coming to Cleveland for a family gathering of the ILs in early August- what is your schedule like?

I hate with a passion premade ketchup but until reading your post had never considered making my own. Yes, this is it. It is SO good. Highly recommended. In the menu @BSpot, he said that this recipe started out as a recipe for bloody mary's so it's got a lot of flavor.

What other things do you cook all the time? I'm really into grilling right now and making up different marinades. I've been working insane hrs lately, so unfortunately I haven't had as much time to cook as I used to, but I've been experimenting with different pasta/macaroni/orzo/potato salad recipes.

Are you still BNOTB? yes, BIG time. I was at a cookout the other day with 5 PG women and a table full of BOTB girls and decided to leave that situation and play cornhole with the guys.... lol. Mine and CB's plan is no babies for at least 3-4 yrs. Once he finishes school (at least 2.5 more yrs) and we are settled into house #2, then we'll re-evaluate our baby plan. For right now though Drinks

How is the pup? Adorable, thanks for asking! She is a little hunter, has killed more little critters that roam our yard than I care to recount. She also has been pivotal in scaring away all the deer that have been attacking my garden. Loves her.

I remember you saying once your house didn't have central air.  Is it fixed now?  Or do you just plain not have it?  If you don't have it, how do you live?! We just plain don't have it. It's miserable. However, we have a window units and a room unit on wheels, so I guess it's not so bad. We also have a pool, which I workout in and use as much as possible. And the giant 60+ yr old trees we have provide a ton of shade, so it's only really hot when we cook or run the dryer, which is why I use the grill a ton and run the dryer only when necessary.

Also, we may be coming to Cleveland for a family gathering of the ILs in early August- what is your schedule like?  what?!?!? For you my dear, I will make myself available :) Also, bring Gracie so the pups can have a play date lol
