Recommendations for all-Inclusive resorts in Mexico, Carribean or Central America
My husband and I were married this past spring. Because of our jobs we were only able to take a few days off after our wedding and did not take a big honeymoon trip. I would like to surprise him with a trip over Thanksgiving this year. I am interested in an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, the Carribean or Central America and would love any recommendations on where to stay and where not to stay.
Thanks!
Re: Recommendations for all-Inclusive resorts in Mexico, Carribean or Central America
You may want to check out Sandals.com. Hubby and I honeymooned in St. Lucia at the Regency Golf and Spa resort. We've also been to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamacia.
Congratulations and welcome to the boards.
We did Sandals in Playa del Carmen for Christmas last year. All inclusive (food and alcohol) and child free. I really enjoyed myself but hubs got a bit bored because sitting by the pool/beach all day isn't his thing.
We're taking a cruise this year because it's a good balance for us- there are a couple do nothing days while you're at sea and then a couple exploration days.

We were just at the Moon Palace in Cancun for a wedding in May. It was our first all-inclusive but it was a lot of fun and the service was top-notch.
Let me know if you would like to see any pictures from our trip.
I did a LOT of research into Mexican and Caribbean resorts beforehand though, and we booked a one-year anniversary trip to Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios. I'd highly recommend checking out the Couples resorts.

We just returned from the Moon Palace in Cancun. While it was nice, it was highly expensive in terms of what you get compared to the other AIs we have stayed at. Food and drinks were okay, but the resort was gorgeous.
We really enjoyed the Occidental Grand Papagaya in Costa Rica. There's not a ton of night life in CR, but it was beautiful and relaxing.
