Cat Pooped on Pottery Barn Sofa :(

Of all the places, and of all the furniture, my dear sweet Lily decided to poop on the brand new (well, 6 months old but still new) white! Pottery Barn sofa we have :(.  It's the slip-covered PB Basic.  Any hints or tips on cleaning the covers?  It's the 'stone' (creamy white) color.

My first thoughts are to use Shout and wash them, but I can't find any cover care directions anywhere.  Can anyone shed some light on any do's/don'ts?  I would hate to ruin them trying to clean them.

Well, what do the washing instructions say?  That would be a good place to start.

She said in her OP that she can't find care instructions on them.

To OP:  I would call PB and ask them.  I have no experience with PB so I don't know what their products are like.

So call the company. Look online.  Google whatever it is she's trying to clean. PB couch slipcover thing.

Very helpful and insightful advice Wink I'll be sure to come directly to you the next time I have a problem :)

  • If PB doesn't have a suggestion, try kid's n pets cleaner! I used it on the yellow vomit my cat left on my cream sofa and it came right out!

4th thing on the page when I googled.  You have a much better chance of getting a respectable answer from google than this board.

Especially when some people are so polite.
