Re: Casey Anthony Verdict in

  • Oh! I didn't watch any of it either, but that's what was on while I was waiting in the lab waiting room this morning during my glucose test.

  • Holy crap - I was thinking this would take longer. I'm absolutely gonna try to tune in at 1:15 [my time].

  • I didn't get to watch any of it, but I did follow along.  I'm excited to see what happens today....well in 5 minutes.
  • I am in shock.

  • I'm totally shocked!  I wasn't expecting she'd be found guilty of the 1st Degree Murder charge, but I was hoping for manslaughter.

  • Quick verdict. Just heard it on the radio... NG except for false information.
  • VERY quick verdict. Part of me isn't surprised - they had to find her guilty beyond a reasonable doubt [that right?], and I'm not sure if that could've been established with the given evidence. But still...that doesn't explain what happend to Caylee. Ugh.

    I know. As a juror I would have such a hard time suppressing the urge to say guilty and have an explanation in my head, be it correct or not. But, I'm sure my conscience would win out in the end.

  • I kind of expected that.  I can't believe they found her NG on all the big charges.  I doubt she'll see any jail time. No
  • My mother is freaking out here...feel so bad for the little girl...

  • I'm in complete shock and disbelief!!! My thoughts right now are...

     #%^%*&^*&(*&%^&%%^&&(*())((^&$##@#%&%*^()(_)()_)*^^%##$@$#*&& (*&*&^%$%^$%^&%*&^(&)(*^^&%$$%#@%$^&&*(*))(*(_)*)(*(*^*^%^$%$% ^%%#%$#$&^%^&*^(*&)(*(&$$@#!#@^%%&^%)(*)_()&*(^^&%%$^#$#^%$

    I could scream!

    Not even child abuse? You didn't report your child missing for 31 days (and longer if she could have gotten away with it). That's not child abuse? Let alone all of the other things she did. If I left my child in a store on accident, I would get child abuse. I mean, come on!! Common sense jury people, common sense!!!!!

    I was at my OB for my yearly and in the waiting room when the verdict was read. They put the TV on super loud and everyone was in an uproar when it was read! Some people started crying. It was nuts! My nurse said "don't worry, she won't last long around here anyways." Someone in the waiting room said "I hope she gets hit by a car when she walks out." someone else said "she's going to have to move far away from Orlando because she won't last long around here." and my OB said "Can you believe this?! Ridiculous!! My wife is an attorney and she is beyond furious!" He also said "you know whats sad is that she doesn't have to worry that no one will hire her because she will probably become a millionaire from interviews, books, etc."

    EVERYONE in Orlando thinks she's guilty and were all sick about it! That poor little girl. I can see why she couldn't get 1st degree - they didn't have any direct evidence tying her to it, like fingerprints, but she should have at least gotten 2nd degree or manslaughter. I just don't even know what to think right now. Grrrrrrrrr

  • Im not all that surprised. Do I think she was responsible? Yes. Amazingly their was an extremely small amount of evidence left behind. The only satisfaction is the fact that she still will not have a life. Where will she ever go where she is accepted? Her family will probably leave her and she has no friends with exception to her defense team.

  • I'm shocked, too. Not following the trial, I didn't know there wasn't much evidence. The way everyone was talking beforehand, it seemed like a sure thing. Also, I kind of expected the jury to deliberate for a few more days.
