Casey Anthony found not guily of murder
Re: Casey Anthony found not guily of murder
I agree. I think she's morally guilty, but the jurors made the correct legal decision. Since neither side could prove the cause of death, there was too much reasonable doubt to convict her. I just hope she never ever ever has another child.
I can see your point on the murder charge, however, I would disagree that they had zero proof with respect to the child abuse/neglect and manslaughter charges. I can't see any situation where admittedly not reporting your child missing for over a month can possibly be anything short of child neglect.
Not guilty does not mean that she is innocent. It never seemed very concrete that she actually murdered her daughter.
What if it really was an accident and she went into shock and didn't report it.
Yes, but that isn't proof that she abused or murdered her child.
Everyone reacts differently to grief. Some people withdraw, become obviously depressed...others act out, and do things quite a few shades wilder than they wouldn't normally do.
Not saying she didn't do it. They just couldn't prove it. We can't go locking up people without knowing absolutely, 100% sure they did it. Prisons are overcrowded enough without us throwing in every "possibly" guilty person, too.
And yes, I realize innocent people are found guilty. It isn't a perfect system...there isn't any way that it ever could be, because people aren't perfect.
I'm just going to say it. I find the general public's fascination with this case a little sick and twisted.
Thank you, Nancy Grace.
Couldn't agree more.
