So I started Christmas shopping...
I always like to get a head start.
I got 1 thing for MIL and 5 things for our little guy. The things I got R were things I knew I wanted to get. This being one of them:

I preordered the LeapPad by LeapFrog for JJ...it'll be here at the end of August. I meant for it to be one of his big Christmas presents, but I think he'll wind up getting it for his birthday instead. I like to get a jump on Christmas shopping, too.
I'm impressed. I'd love to get a head start, but my shopping has been so out of control lately that I'm looking forward to a few weeks/months off from seeing my UPS guy daily.
I'm going to be out of control come Christmas and Piper will only be 5.5 months old!

This is how I feel. Normally I would totally be shopping now for Christmas, but I feel so overwhelmed with just the things we need now that it's like "Christmas? What's that?"
Honestly I'm not looking forward to buying gifts this year at all. Normally that's my favorite part of the holiday (giving not getting), but I just don't want to spend the money!

This was us last year. It's how I feel now, but hopefully will feel differently if I go to full time soon.
That is how I felt about Christmas last year too. I wasn't paid for most of my leave and didn't want to spend any money.
