Tuesday book post-what are you reading?
Hey girls. I finished Summer In the City, the second prequel to Sex and the City. I really liked it. It was slow at parts but good overall. It talks about her early days as a writer and meeting Samantha and Miranda! I started reading Sisterhood Everlasting last night and it is good!!! I wasn't going to buy it (was on hold list at library) but our plane (which was a late flight) was delayed and I thought it might be a long night so I bought it at the airport. I read more this morning and when a friend called, I didn't want to put it down!!! :-)
Re: Tuesday book post-what are you reading?
Just finishing Stories I Only Tell My Friends, Rob Lowe's autobiography. Its pretty good, I think someone 10 years older than me (40s) might love it.
Waiting for The Last Testament of the Holy Bible to come in the mail!
Mel, as you could probably see from my GoodReads page, I LOVE all of Sarah Addison Allen's books! Glad you like that one! You'd love Garden Spells too then!
I just finished Plain Truth, which was just so so for me. I think I put it down too many times, and I thought the ending was weird. Now I'm re-reading The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane. I love that book and re-read it probably every Summer!
my read shelf:
My SIL just recommended Deliverance Dane to me but she could not remember the full title. I will have to add it to my to-read list!
I've read all of her books and have really liked them! In fact, I'm borrowing her newest one from MIL - it's next on my list.
Right now I'm reading Sizzling Seventeen by Janet Evanovich. I'm flying through it and will probably be done by the end of the week. I love all her books - such easy and entertaining reads! I highly suggest all of her books!!
I finished Water for Elephants yesterday. I liked it. I also started The Girl Who Played with Fire. I've been meaning to read it for months but just hadn't started it yet.
I'm out of ideas for good summer reads. Yesterday, DH and I went to our favorite used book store and I left without buying anything! Sad.
