Does your kid snore?

Owen snores BAD. Like an old man. Its loud. I dont think he sleeps well because of it (when we bring him in our bed in the morning to get a few more hours out of him, I have to move to the couch because I cant sleep - and he tosses and turns)

I dont want to make a dr appointment for this though (or should I?).

I'm sitting on the couch in the living room, and I can still hear him.

Re: Does your kid snore?

  • Kaylee did before we had her tonsils and adenoids out.  My friend's little boy had his adenoids out because of snoring.  I would just mention it at the next doc appt.
  • Ditto luvjon. Maren snored like crazy before her adenoids came out. She still does a little but not nearly as bad. I would mention it at his next well check.

  • Ditto.  Adenoids.

  • hmm, you girls are onto something here.

I bet it is his adenoids. He's a beast, why wouldnt he have beastly adenoids.

How bad of a procedure is it to remove? Is it pretty routine? This scares the shitt out of me.

  • C snored before he had his adnoids out too. It was a fairly quick procedure that they did at the same time as his 3rd set of tubes. The recovery was a little worse than just tubes, but not bad at all. The worst part was the swamp breath for a little over a week.
  • Yeah, the process is super easy.  And yes, Jamie, the breath is horrid.  We had tonsils and adenoids out, so it was a little brutal of a process I'll be honest, but my friend's guy who had just adenoids out, he was up and at 'em the next day.  Our recovery was a week, but I think that's typical with tonsils.

  • Maren had tubes and adenoids in one procedure and aside from the awful breath, was fine the next day.
