How was everyone's weekend?
Did you have a nice weekend with friends and family? I hope you did!

Re: How was everyone's weekend?
Yup! It was really hard to get out of bed and off to work today..booo hoo.
We went to the beach, my uncle's bbq on the 4th, our beach plans got rained out on Sunday, but the rain held off long enough for us to see the fireworks at our friends' house at night. It was fun and relaxing. I'd rather be at the beach today

My weekend was great! Friday I spent the evening shopping for bathing suits and ended up with two, one ordered and one in hand. DH was fishing with two buddies.
Saturday we took it easy and made strawberry lemonade spiked with tequila. Yum!
Sunday we went to a friends for a BBQ and drank beer.
Monday we went to another friends for another BBQ and drank more beer.
Today I'm slightly dehydrated and lacking energy. I even said I was going to take it easy drinking before the weekend started . . . so much for that!

It wasn't long enough :-)
I was able to spend time with the family on Saturday and early Sunday, but H had to work all day (and night) Sunday and Monday, so I didn't see him for almost two full days...boo. On the plus side, he promised me a "make up" day, so that should be nice!
Ours was productive but fun.
Friday night we went out to dinner and then bought our new computer at Best Buy.
Saturday DH went golfing while I went shopping. Then we ended up meeting his family for dinner.
Sunday we went to church and the breakfast on our way home. We spent the afternoon cleaning our bedroom and office. Both rooms usually get neglected when we clean so we decided to takle them. Plus, we are thinking about selling one of our desks to try to make more room in there.
Monday DH made us a big late breakfast and I finished the laundry (finally). Then we met my BFF and her new BF at Hard Rock for a late lunch/early dinner before the Cards game. We got to see a double rainbow at the game and the Cards beat the Reds....woo hoo. After the game we met up with another set of friends and headed over to the fair to see the fireworks.
I am seriously dragging today. Hopefully it goes by fast.
My weekend was pretty good. It was my official re-entry into my social life since I've been living like a hermit the past month.
On Friday night DH and I had a great dinner in NYC and then saw The Book of Mormon - loved it! I laughed the entire time. I've seen a lot of shows and would put this one in my top 3.
Saturday we drove down to South Jersey and ended up going out on a double-date with my sister and BIL. We've never done that before and it was nice.
Sunday we did another drive, down to our friend who lives an hour south of us. Another fun day.
For the 4th our friends had a few people over. They live in a large condo building overlooking the Hudson and city skyline. We spent the day hanging out by their pool, BBQed dinner, and then had a great view of the NYC fireworks.
And, both the friend we visiting on Sunday and the one we visited yesterday are very pregnant, and it was less upsetting for me to hang out with them than I thought it would be.
I'm so jealous!!! I saw the Book of Mormon performance on the Tony's and would love to see this show when I'm in NYC in Sept! Unfortunately, it is sold out until 2012! How did you get tickets??? Any secrets?
We were beach bums this weekend - it was great weather in San Diego and we decided to take advantage of house sitting for my boss who lives on the beach (though it is a nude beach - so there was much eye aversion)

No secrets... I bought the tickets in April before the Tony nominations came out and before most of America had heard of the show. The early buzz on it was like nothing I remember, and one of the nice things about living in the NYC area is you hear about the good shows pretty early. Even buying the tickets in April I had to go out a few months to get decent seats for a Friday night show. The tickets were actually my anniversary present to DH - he's a huge South Park fan!
Good for you! What a great present for your DH! I'm SO jealous! I can't wait for it to go on tour

It was long and fun. I'm finally back at work today after driving 8 1/2 back from New York.
We went to my sister's house near Rochester and spent time with family. We went to Canada on Saturday to an amusement park, Sunday and Monday we spent at my sister's in-laws at their pool. We also saw some fireworks on Monday night. My niece just turned 3 yesterday and she's at that perfect age now where she's so much fun and I can actually understand what she is saying! She's too cute.
