Do you take a weeklong vacation every/most summers? We did this year. Took a week vacation. Last year we weren't able to get away as much because of lack of vacation time.
Do you prefer to do it early or later in the summer? I guess I prefer early summer, but we did it this year in the middle of the summer.
Where do you go? This year we went to visit family. Next year we are hoping to do the beach.
Do you ever do a 2 week vacation or take 2 weeks at different times? Normally we don't take a 2 week vacation, but next year I like to take a few extra days at the end of the vacation to just veg at home!

we used to, this year is the first year that's not going to happen, and I'm not sure how likely it is for the next couple of years.

later. I love the beach in september. As long as we don't have school aged kids, I'm going to be a big fan of september vacations.
Where do you go?
we used to go to the outer banks with MIL's family every other year for a week, but that tradition died this year. The other years the IL's go to Bethany or Rehobeth for a week with FIL's family, but we usually only join them for a long weekend. My mom rents a house in Sea Isle, NJ every year for a week too, and typically we join her for at least half of that week.

Before we bought a house we used to do the week in at OBX plus the week with my mom later in the summer. Budget and time off constraints make us pick and choose a little more now.

Do you take a weeklong vacation every/most summers? No, we do usually take a week off to go on a vacation but it's rarely in the summer.
Do you prefer to do it early or later in the summer? In the past, when we've done a summer trip, we've done it early in June before schools are out.
Where do you go? Beaches- usually somewhere in Florida or a Caribbean island.
Do you ever do a 2 week vacation or take 2 weeks at different times? Only our honeymoon. I generally do take 2 full weeks off at different times, 1 week for a trip, 1 week at home around the holidays. I'd like to do a 2-week Europe vacay within the next 12-16 months.
Do you take a week long vacation every/most summers? With the exception of our honeymoon and this year, we generally vacation in the fall/early winter. We had a destination wedding to attend this year.
Do you prefer to do it early or later in the summer? We prefer traveling in the fall/early winter to get away from the cold weather.
Where do you go? We've been to several areas of Mexico, Costa Rica, Turks & Caicos, and the Dominican Republic.
Do you ever do a 2 week vacation or take 2 weeks at different times? I prefer to take two separate vacations, if time allows. Being away from work that long would drive me insane (I know, I'm crazy) and it's hard to find a dog sitter for 2 weeks straight.
We would like to take a vacation every summer, but it hasn't been possible yet.

Where do you go? Ocean City since it's free and close then we try and pick a new island or location every year.

Do you take a weeklong vacation every/most summers? This was the first year we took a week long vacation together since our honeymoon in Fall 2008. We went to Ocean City because my boss offered his condo for free. Previously, DH has had the opportunity to travel with me for work on occasion so we have stayed at hotels and visited places, we probably wouldn't otherwise. We haven't gone on summer vacation before this summer - rather had stay-cations to work on home improvement projects.
Do you prefer to do it early or later in the summer? I prefer late July, but due to our work schedules late June works better.
Where do you go? See above - Ocean City! We have decided going forward to try and do a mini vacation in the Fall for our anniversary and do a beach trip in the summer - either Ocean City or Myrtle.
Do you ever do a 2 week vacation or take 2 weeks at different times? 2 weeks at different times. Our jobs don't really allow being out for an extended period of time, although today was my first day back since Jun 24 - it was difficult to say the least!

Do you take a weeklong vacation every/most summers? Lately we've been doing one long trip (week or slightly more) and then weekend/long weekend trips.
Do you prefer to do it early or later in the summer? We usually travel more in the spring and fall when it's cooler out and kids are in school.
Where do you go? Somewhere different every time.
Do you ever do a 2 week vacation or take 2 weeks at different times? I usually try to spread out time. I would go crazy if all I had to look forward to was one block of time off all year.
Do you take a weeklong vacation every/most summers? No, we have not taken any week long trips besides the honeymoon. We usually do one weekend at the Jersey shore, but not every year. We occasionally do one other weekend somewhere at some point in the fall, but again, not every year.

Where do you go? see above. We also have had weddings in Boston the last several years for our many cousins, but we usually only stay 2-3 days.
