If you are following the Anthony Trial
They have a verdict. Everyone should be back in court around 2:15pm EST for the verdict.
Re: If you are following the Anthony Trial
I've been following it the whole time since it's on local news all day. I'm shocked they have one already...

On Monday I thought they would definitely have a verdict by Tuesday or Wednesday (at the lastest). It didn't seem like there was to much to look over.
Part of me is shocked because there was so much to consider, but on the other hand I am not since the jurors for the OJ trial only took 2 hours: ie you just never know what people will decide and do ... I'll be glued to msnbc.com!

She is clearly guilty of more than just lying to law enforcement. I think her mom is too. I'd like to know how they came up with not guilty of the rest.
Ugh. Not guilty on murder and manslaughter, but guilty on accounts of providing false info. How is that even possible.
If my daughter "disappeared" I'd be combing the forests for her and shouting from every mode of communication to try to find her not waiting for days before reporting it. There is just something not right about her and her parents.
I think they are going to say it's because of the whole reasonable doubt thing.
I had this same thought and just went in and hugged DD.
I've followed this whole (now) mess since '08 and I'm just appalled. Obviously something happened to poor Caylee, and (admitted by Casey's defense) she knew about it, but never said anything. Isn't that punishable?
Not even just days ... wasn't it 31 days - a whole freaking month!?
From what I've read about the trial, it turned out how I thought it would. I think there was no question that she lied to law enforcement. However, I'm not sure the State proved, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she murdered Caylee. This wasn't a hung jury and the fact that they came to a unanimous decision so quickly makes me think that there was something else there that the public didn't see.
As an aside, from what I've read, I do think the Anthony family at least knows what happened to Caylee.
I wonder what the sentence will be for the four counts she is guilty on. It seems like that judge is pretty strict.

These are good points.
She won't have much of a sentence though. She can get up to one year for each of the 4 guilty verdicts, so 4 years total. However, the 3 years that she has already served will count towards her sentence, so she could have to serve up to 1 more year (or so).
Exactly this.

This was just posted on FB-- kind of interesting-- http://www.dewittlaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/casey-anthony-trial-infographic.pdf
I do agree that the State didn't do a very good job of proving their case and it's tough when all you have is circumstantial evidence. I'm not even saying if I were on the jury I'd feel differently if I knew 100% of what went on in court.
That being said, no normal mother behaves the way she did with a missing child.
I hope once she's out of jail she has anything but the "Bella Vita" she thought she was going to have when she got that stupid tattoo.

I have say I am both shocked and then again, not.
Shocked, b/c she seriously has to be guilty of something more than telling lies to the police. Manslaughter or something.
Not shocked, b.c if I were a juror, the fact that the medical examiner couldn't determine a cause of death...that's my reasonable doubt right there. I htink they couldn't really prove that she killed Caylee, but I wouldn't be surprised if she knows who did, ie: one of her parents. I think she knows something.
Blog
I think she knows what happened for sure and I do believe that Casey was responsible for Caylee's death. Unfortunately the prosecution didn't have a body until 7-8 months after the baby died so they didn't have the forensics.
It saddens me that so many people struggle to get and stay pregnant that want children desperately and then you have the people that abuse, neglect and kill their babies. If you don't want a child take steps to prevent pregnancy or give that baby up for adoption to someone who will love and cherish them the way they are meant to be loved and cherished.

I completely agree with this!! So sad that after all is said and done, an innocent little girl's life was taken away and justice has not been served for it.
