Booked our vacation!
I think most of you have seen it on FB...but we booked our vacation! We're going to Hawaii at the end of the summer!
We're going to spend 3 nights on Oahu and 5 nights on Maui. In Oahu, we found a private apartment to rent that's right on the ocean, facing west (for beautiful sunsets!). It's in a really small town, so I'm not sure what there will be to do nearby...but the island isn't all that big, and it's an easy drive to the things that DH wants to show me (he's been to Oahu before, and I haven't). In Maui, we realized yeserday that we can get a discounted rate at the same place we stayed two years ago! We looked into staying in a different town, but I feel better staying in a condo that we already know (so we know that it's nice and has amazing views). It's in Kihei, which is also centrally located, as opposed to the other towns we looked into on the Western side of the island.
I'm so excited!! And I love that tickets to Hawaii from Seattle are so affordable that this really is our "budget" option for our vacation!

I so want to go back to Hawaii. DH and I should have gone there for our honeymoon. I loved Oahu, I didn't get to Maui, but Oahu was great.

I would be scared to death but I always thought it would be cool to take one of those helicopter rides where you can see everything or go see a volcano.
