TOOT! TOOT!

This is the "Toot Your Own Horn" post. Post one thing you did recently that made you proud of yourself!

Re: TOOT! TOOT!

  • I took two Master's classes during Summer I session and it overlapped my job by five weeks. I still managed to be a great teacher (got my kindergartners ready for first grade!), a good mommy (Mere is alive and well!) AND I earned an A in BOTH classes!

I will give lots of credit to my awesome H, who picked up my slack majorly. I still can't believe I did it, though!

    Congrats! That's impressive. :)

A week ago, I ran a 5K race and came in under 23 minutes for the first time ever. :D

I tackled an insanely overdue cleaning project and managed to finish it with only minimal complaining. It was gross, though.

  • I weighed myself for the first time in about six months, and I'm back down to 113 pounds in less than a year of delivering (my goal was 115).  The pregnancy weight can suck it - I win!

  • I have lost 10 lbs in the last month but eating less and trying to eat better!

  • We are all awesome!

Katers: Your 5K time is my 1K time :P

Chymes: Cleaning is the worst (as I'm sitting here surrounded by office mess).

KerCo: You skinny biotch. I have weight envy!

I do this to myself, too. What was the job?

Ditto all of this + great job rocking those Masters classes, LVila (all while reading a million fun books, I'm sure Wink)

I don't have anything too awesome, other than that I just scored a 4* hotel in downtown Chicago for $96 for a weekend in August!  I've always thought that "Travel Agent" would be a great job for me.  Too bad it's obsolete.

  • Congratulations, everyone!  You guys rock!

I successfully hosted and entertained my family this weekend.  Does that count?  Ha.  I can't think of anything better at the moment.

That totally counts!  Would you mind sharing how everything worked out and whether the actual itinerary matched with the planned one?  Feel free to start a new thread or post it in randoms so we aren't majorly threadjacking.

  • Yeah....I got nothing haha.

Congrats to you guys for all your big (and little) accomplishments!

  • I'm with freeburger. Ha! I haven't done anything noteworthy - I need to make a change!

However, Henry made it 30 miles in the bike trailer on Saturday.  This is his longest distance sitting in the trailer wearing his helmet. We were very happy that we could cover that distance without any incident.

How about "I biked 30 miles on Saturday"? :p

I did 10 on Sunday and think my rear end is still mad at me.

  • We packed for vacation AND left the house clean enough to show.  Ye-haw!  No showings while we were gone, but we came back to a mighty clean house.

Freeburger, you researched and shared warnings about a scam that takes advantage of baby tigers.
