XP: New Bedroom Furniture
I posted this on D&R, but I thought I'd also post it over here. You ladies always have great decorating ideas.
Over the weekend we went out and purchased new bedroom furniture. We're having it delivered straight to our new apartment at the end of the month, so we won't see it until then.
We've been using Target bedroom furniture up until now, so we're excited to finally have a real set.

I'm currently on the search for bedding, which is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks! I'm thinking something calming like blues and greens, but I'm having a hard time finding anything that I really like.
Yay for new furniture. We had such a hard time with bedding. We wanted something with more of a cotton feel, not shiny. I ordered two from overstock and ended up returning both. Then I hesitantly ordered this one from Target's website and we ended up really liking it. It's light and cottony and the quality is actually pretty nice. Better than the two more expensive ones we ordered from overstock.
The nice thing about ordering from the Target website is that it's free shipping if you spend more than $50 and then almost all of them can be returned to the store so you don't have to pay return shipping if you don't like it.
ETA: I wasn't crazy about the one we ordered until I ended up seeing it in the store. It's much nicer in person, and it actually looks great on the bed.
Good to know about Target's return policy. I didn't know you could return items in store.
Lucky- I like your bed set. The one I have now is the shiny material and I'm going to go with a more cotton feel next time.
We change bedding quite a bit, but at the moment we have this from Kohls. It's a really nice quality. I was impressed with a lot of bedding sets from Kohls for the price.
ETA: Here's something similar that I also really like, but it was not there when DH picked out our bedding.

Yeah, I like that it's a little more casual and I really like the addition of the white in the colors. It looks like it's part of the same line of bedding & we've been happy with the quality of ours. I love how all of the pillows are included in these sets, because that crap adds up fast!
Thanks. I like it more over time too which is a good sign, LOL.
We liked a lot of the Kohls sets and were looking for one of the sets with pillows but with the color on our walls it just didn't work out that way. I agree that they seem to be a good quality. I'm hoping to find some feminine pillows to add to ours.
