Teen Mom: Your thoughts?
So I watched last night.
1) Gary is an idiot for going back.
2) Glad I'm not Amber's therapist
3) Who knew you could get Boob job loans. Although I read somewhere that since she got denied and then all of a sudden approved that MTV probably kicked in the money.

They showed the plastic surgeon though so I actually wonder if he did it for free since he was being promoted on tv. I can't believe when Farrah said I want boobs for my modeling her mom was like "oh thats ok then".
Gary and Amber are annoying and I wish would leave the show.
I give props to Caitlynne (sp?) for wanting to be on her own and away from her psycho mom, but I really hope her and Tyler make it. That is young to live on your own and not have a job.
Is Kyle slow? bahahaha
I love Caitlynn and Tyler and I hope they can move out and be on their own because I actually think they'd be better off. There's something weird to me when they've had a child together and made a very selfless decision and are having to work at being ok with it, and then Tyler's mom doesn't want them to live together. It's kind of like, well - the "damage" has been done. They learned their lesson. I believe they did. They're going to do what they're going to do. Just let them be together and quit trying to prevent it. But it's easy for me to say that since I'm just sitting here and I really don't have to make that decision.
Amber. Oh Amber, Amber, Amber. It doesn't seem like anyone looks out for her and she's just reaching and grasping at anyone who pays attention. I think Gary could probably be ok on his own without her and could be a somewhat decent parent it seems. Amber is just full of fail.
Maci. I love her. I kind of just want to kick Ryan in the balls for her. He's such a douche.
And then there's Farrah. You all pretty much know what I think about that. I do think she seems like she's keeping Sophia more of a focus though and for that, I'm happy for her. That little girl sure looks like her daddy. I feel like Farrah's mom has given her some odd advice and wants her to do odd things (since the beginning of the show) and that has really hindered Farrah's ability to really grow and become her own person.
-Did Farrah's parents divorce? I remember in the "unseen footage" show they showed her parents telling her they were getting a divorce and I noticed when I was watching this morning that the lower third said, "Farrah's Mom's House" and not "Farrah's House" or "Farrah's Parents' House." Is that guy even her dad? She's always called him Michael. I don't get that girl.
I am pretty sure that he is her biological dad.
Is it bad that I hope he's not her biological dad because calling him Michael if he were her biological dad is incredibly disrespectful. I don't know why that gets me so much, but it does. Every time she says it in her snide little voice I want to slap her.
If you google it, you will find conflicting info. So, honestly I have no idea if he is or not. I thought I had read that he wasn't, but I have read that he is as well.
Addison calls DH, Tim. Probably because that is what I call him. I asked him if it bothered him, and he said no, so we don't really try and correct it.
I assumed that was her dad because Farrah has that darker skin and it obviously didn't come from her mom.
I do find it really gross that Caitlynn's mom and Tyler's dad are together. I knew that in the last season but then when they did the recap at the beginning it is just too weird.

When her parents told Farrah about their divorce on camera last season she coolly accepted that Michael wouldn?t be around much anymore. In fact, when he asks if Farrah ?Are you done with me? Do you want me around?? Farrah replies with a chilly ?Yeah, I want you around to a certain extent.? Not exactly a normal relationship with a biological father, but he could have done things (or not done things) to make her emotionally detached from him.
But combine this chilly reception to news of a divorce with the fact that Farrah?s mom?s last name is Danielson and Farrah almost always calls her dad ?Michael,? and its easy to assume that he?s not her biological dad. However, the truth is that Michael Abraham is her real father. Both Farrah and Michael?s last name is Abraham. Her mother didn?t change her last name when she married Michael.
What is wrong with Gary? I mean, where to you start, but seriously? He looked like such a loser begging for her back.
Ryan is such a jerk. He actually made himself look super jealous, talking the way he did about Kyle.

Yes, he's Farrah's real dad. I think she just randomly calls him "Michael" for the hell of it.. my family is like that too, I call my dad Robby from time to time.
I was dying laughing about Ryan asking if Kyle is slow. I think I rewinded that scene like 3 times to watch it again. The funniest part was that you know he was sincerely asking!
I think since the teen moms make the news often enough, or have in the past several months, it's kind of downer that we already know some of the story arch that's coming (Amber's arrest, Maci's relationship drama, etc).
I do like Maci the best. Has anyone else noticed how she has such an advantage over the others because of the support of her family? And that her family seems to have $$$? She has nice stuff, a nice apartment, comes "home" (her parents' house) to a very nice house, her folks help out with Bentley. Sure, she has jobs on and off, but her struggles are more single parenting, navigating a new relationship, and compromising/fighting with her ex rather than financial struggles and constantly fighting with BSC parents/step-parents who don't support. And at one point last night she said she was "taking time off" from school and maybe a job? It has just always struck me, the difference in her struggles and those of the other girls, who have dysfunctional families and financial hardships.
Re. Farrah's boob job--the doctor is the parent of a student I taught 7 years ago, very nice family. And a friend of mine takes her kids to the same pedi that Farrah/Sophia use. She saw Farrah, Sophia, and Michael at the pedi office and Farrah must have been recovering from her surgery because my friend saw her hunched over holding her chest. I thought I saw in the tabloids that Farrah moved to either LA or Vegas???
I think Catelynn and Tyler would move on with their lives easier if they weren't on the show anymore. I am pulling for them, but I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world if they didn't end up together, if they expanded their horizons and found a support system that didn't involve their f--ked up parents. They are constantly rehashing the adoption. They are so resilient, all they've been through, but there is still so much life for them to live if they could graduate from high school and get our of that $hit-hold town.
Gary sucks for begging for Amber back...how can they watch themselves on tv and NOT see how they don't work together??

I feel badly for Catelyn, she's already had a lot to deal with in her short life and now she has to deal with people breaking into her home and getting her own place.
My favorite part with Farrah was when she was being really rude and snotty to Michael and then he tells Sophia to sit down and Farrah tells him to stop being mean. Hello pot calling the kettle black!
I hope all of these girls are being smart with their earnings from being on the show...I totally roll my eyes when they make complaints about having no money and I know they bank off that show!
