Marcy

How are you doing? I hope you plan to relax this week! You should... But for some reason I doubt you will, lol.

Re: Marcy

  • Relax? Ha!

Yesterday Greg comes home from work and decides he wants to head out and find a new mattress and take advantage of some 4th of July sales....Hahahahaha. $2900 later...we have a new mattress. Indifferent  This bed had better make itself and give me naughty dreams for the rest of my life.

It's getting delivered tomorrow (king size). Our current bed, (queen) will not really fit in our house and the stairs to our attic are way too narrow to get the bed up there. I have no clue what to do with this darn thing. I could fit the mattress and box spring in my office (it would be TIGHT), but the headboard, sides and foot board definitely will not fit. The headboard is massive, not to mention only 5 years old.

Our new bed is only on the frames since we bought it at a mattress store. I don't even want to THINK about buying a new bed (headboard, footboard & rails). The idea makes me hyperventilate. Greg is a big aesthetics type of guy, and I can already see him twitching at the idea of not having a headboard. At his last house he went all "Trading Spaces" and made his own headboard...I fully expect that to happen sometime in the next month or so.

All that being said...Greg sleeps terribly. It's been the biggest obstacle of our relationship thus far. I really really hope a new high quality bed will help with some of his sleep issues. - Not that any of us will be getting a good night sleep for a few months.

I'm working the rest of the week, however, not too hard. I have one phone call a day scheduled. Today I have to run out and get sheets (another calculated expense, thank god for gift cards from the baby shower), tomorrow I have a doctors appointment and the bed is getting delivered.

Thursday and Friday I'm sure I'll be a frazzled mess getting last minute things done, and then on Saturday....I'm having a BABY!!!  Big Smile

Oh, before Greg got home yesterday from work, I was already on a shopping rampage. Amazon Prime + 1 Click purchases, got the best of me. Here are some of my purchases. I was fully not intending on spending $3 f**cking thousand dollars on a mother f**king bed.

I fell in love with this stupid over priced hat for newborn pictures. She'll wear the darn thing once and then I'll end up giving it away, I just know it.

Again, newborn pictures got the best of my sentimental butt, so I bought on over priced piece of friggin cheese cloth that has been dyed hot pink.

Again...I'm out of control with newborn photos (I've even got two different people taking sessions...I'm out of control). So I bought a friggin tutu...what the hell is wrong with me?

I love the hat and the tutu! Which medela pump is that? You'll have to give a review once you've used it a few times.

And yay for baby on Saturday!!!

Medela Pump In Style Advanced - this bag for some stupid reason makes the pump cheaper than the other bag options. I'm scared to death to breastfeed so I may rent a pump for a week or two in order to see if I can get the swing of it, before opening this one and killing my return policy. I haven't quite decided though. Everyone I know recommended this pump, so I'm going to give it a shot.

  •  i freaking love you! lol.

    and great purchases :)

  • Went to the doctor today and had a cervical check. "Absolutely nothing" was his official medical diagnosis. If I wasn't scheduled to have a c-section on Saturday he says I'd easily be pregnant for at least another week and a half, to two weeks.

    Lovely.

At least I feel really good.

Waiting on the mattress and box spring delivery, but I'd much prefer a nap.
