Anyone watching "How the States Got Their Shapes"?

I'm no history nerd but DH and I are finding this a pretty interesting series.  It's on History and goes through a lot of the circumstances that gave our states their boundaries, plus it talks a lot about what used to be the boundaries and how territories became states etc.

  • I have!! I'm loving this series! I watched how Idaho and Montana got their bizarre shapes and it's because of bribery! Montana wanted that extra land that was part of the gold rush, so they sent tons of gold to Washington D.C.  Very interesting stuff.
