AAAAAKK! My wonderful in-home daycare lady (she would only have jamie and one other baby) just fell through and I have to go back teaching August 2nd! I still had the big daycare on the back burner just in case, but I think I am going to cry. The big daycare is one of the best in the county and they have an infant cottage with only 4 infants, but still! Someone make me feel better quick

Re: FML!
My sister is struggling w/her in home daycare right now because the only other girl (and toddler at all) my niece's age has left and there really isn't any other child that's at her level to play with. She asks about her little girlfriend Shay all of the time. With other babies his age around, hopefully that won't happen with Jamie.
Thanks!!! I didn't think about the socialization part of it. AND it won't be a big transition when he moves up to the different-aged rooms.
For some reason I just keep picturing him crying in a crib with no one to pick him up....Irrational I know, but I was feeling pretty good about going back to work, now I think it's going to be more difficult for me.
My theory on a big daycare is there are checks and balances that don't exist in a home daycare setting. If something is not right at a center someone will notice. If it is a home daycare with only one person you might never know what they are doing during the day.
Awww...I am sorry! I totally know how you feel! Sending our babies to day care and going back to work are so difficult, not to mention emotional.
I found out I go back to work on Monday but I am glad my work is allowing me to work from home for a month, then I have to send Wyatt to an in-home day care. I am dreading that day but know that it is neccesary
