1. dated a pre-op transgender girl for 3 years without knowing she was a girl
2. goes on one date with guys, then if they get distant- she proceeds to write them several 3 page emails about how hurt she is (and then wonders why they disappear completely)
3. has taken her teaching certification test 20 times and has failed every single time
4. was "dating" a guy in Seattle- and broke up his marriage and his family. And then was seriously hurt when he admitted to sleeping with another woman (no, not his wife). They have never met in person
Well, here's the newest in her craziness. We all have a mutual friend named Nick. Nick moved to FL last year. Well, Nick came up this weekend for a visit and she went for coffee with him on Sun. When she dropped him off, he joked "If I'm not married in 5 years, we should get married". And she has taken this DEAD seriously. She now wont stop talking about Nick (someone she really wasn't interested in at all before) and how (giggle), he wants to marry her in 5 years. She does this kind of shyt all the time. I just want to scream at her. Now all of her FB statuses are about how "absence makes the heart grow fonder... but sadder". Poor guy had NO idea what he was getting himself in to when he made that comment.
Re: You've heard about my loser friend
OMG. Does he not know about her lifestyle and her ridiculous behavior?
I swear, we should introduce your loser friend, to my loser ex-friend and they can be BFFs forever. They have so much in common:
Can't pass a teaching certification? Check!
Break up someone else's marriage? Check!
Takes innocent comments way too seriously? Check!
Obsesses about people who have no interest in her? Check!
That's the thing. This girl likes to make the world believe that she is SOOO CLOSE to everyone in the world. They are not really that close, but she makes the friendship out to be more tight than it actually is.
Like the way she makes her relationship seem with my DH. When I tell mutual friends (we confide in each other about her craziness) about how much DH DETESTS her, they always reply "that's funny. She always makes it sound to us that she and your DH are really close".
As for telling him, I'm friend with his best friend... and I'm tempted to play dumb and ask him "Is Nick interested in Kristin?" and then explain what happened so it gets back to him and he learns not to egg her on.

Loveshine- it always cracks me up how similiar our two friends are. They really need to find each other so they leave the rest of us sane folk alone.
Her next attempt at the Praxis is Nov 15th. She's too busy going out drinking and doing stupid little craft projects for her students that she hasn't bothered studying (again). Yet- she'll be sincerely shocked when she fails.

i think you should tell nick directly.

It's funny that you say that, because my ex-friend is still shocked that the FL Dept of Education isn't letting her teach. And of course, it's their fault that she can't pass the test. It has nothing to do with her lack of studying.
So ridiculous. These 2 really are MFEO.
tell the bf and don't play dumb. loser is in for yet another shocker, and might as well be now rather than in five years when nick doesn't want to marry her.
You're right hmonkey- I think I'm going to do that. I would bet money right now that she has memorized the date he said that and five years from that date, she will be sitting by the phone, waiting for the proposal. It's really sad- but I know her well enough, and it's not an exaggeration AT ALL.
Loveshine- yeah, Kristin is also PISSED at her current school and the state of CT. She keeps b1tching about how her principal and superintendant are big ole meanies. I keep trying to explain to her "They're trying to run a business and you are putting that business in jeopardy if parents find out that you're not certified. Enough people hear that and pull their kids, and your school shuts down!"
