sure is quiet around here without you know who in the news
Speaking of CA, did anyone see Ashton on The View today? I missed it. I love The View too, as embarrassed as I should be of that fact. I did see that Barbara Walters is interviewing Baez on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer tonight at 6:30. I might check it out, but I hate him so if she's nice to him I'll probably turn it off. I don't want to see him gloat. OK, sorry to bring it up, had to

It is quiet. I know I don't post a ton, but it is very quiet.
What do you think about Ashton retiring?
Kind of sad, but he's put in 30 years for the State, I'm sure it's his time. I'm guessing he is going to go into a private practice for a few years to get rich, then really retire. Wish I could watch the View episode online, but I think it won't be on their website until tomorrow. I was reading about him in an article and it read that he had a death penalty case a few years ago and he scared the defendent so much that before the jury could give their verdict defendent changed his plead to guilty, as long as they would drop the death penalty possiblity, which Ashton agreed to. That is awesome! I'd hire him if I needed a good lawyer. Although I don't think I could afford him now that he's no longer working for the State.
I might have to watch the Baez interview.
I don't really think to much about Ashton retiring. This case probably did him in. I think if I had been practicing for 30 years, and then I get this whopper of a case, that seems like a Duh! kind of thing, and then after 3yrs of work the jury comes back with not guilty..i'd probably retire too. I'm sure it's heartbreaking for him.
I know, I feel for the guy. I watched a clip of The View and Barbara asked him a question and he answered her "yes sir". LOL. He apologized and said it might be because he is so used to judges lately and she was wearing a black dress that could be like a judge robe, and she shook his hand and they laughed. Poor guy, he's probably pooped.
me too!
