What's everyone up to? Anything exciting or new happen today?
We had an ultrasound today that J got to Skype in on. He was beaming! We might have found out what we're having but the tech was only 85% sure so we're not telling anyone until after the 20 week scan.
Re: How's it hangin?
The Dogs and Us
Is this a new field for you or just a new place? I hope the transition goes smoothly and quickly.
New place same field i've been in for years. I am considering going back to school but I don't know what i would want to go back for. I am actually really thankful that i got the job offer less than two weeks after moving here. I am still putting out my resume and applying for jobs though.
The Dogs and Us
Aw I'm really excited to know what you're having! 4 more weeks lol...if you can hold it in that long
I'm just sitting here watching H try to assemble the bouncer we just got for the babe. He's cracking me up with how frustrated he's getting. And it's like the easiest thing to assemble, all you need for is a phillips screw driver and there's only 5 pieces to the whole thing LOL.
That's awesome he got to skype in!!!!
Nothing is really new with me. Physical therapy kicked my ass again today. Yaaaaaaay. Not. It's a good thing tho so I'm trying not to complain too much.
That is perfect timing! Good luck.
J's bursting at the seams to shout it from the rooftops. It's a good thing there aren't many people to tell in Afghan.
He's way over thinking it. Are you going with a certain theme for baby stuff?
Is this PT on your knee? I hear it's a good thing when it hurts (or is uncomfortable) but I bet it doesn't feel good while you're in the process of it.
Sort of. Most of the stuff we're getting is gender neutral Fisher Price Ocean Wonders or Baby Einstein Neptune Ocean stuff. This kid better like the ocean haha.
ETA. Also, he finally has it assembled. He was putting the head piece on backwards. It didn't come with a manual since we got it from a friend of mine in Cali.
Glad he got to skype in!
I have been having contractions all night and day, but they aren't really getting any stronger or closer together, so it's just annoying! I'm showing some signs of pre-eclampsia so this little girl may be here sooner then expected depending on the results of a NST on friday. I am excited and nervous all at once!
Oh man I hope the Pre-E stays away! I'll send delivery vibes your way.
Yep for my knee. It hurts to walk without the crutches or bars. It doesn't hurt at all when walking with them. My elbows are sore from bumping into walls, ppl, the car door, the fridge, etc.
That's so awesome that he got to Skype during the u/s!
This may not be funny to anyone else (and it was not funny to me at the time) but here's a story from today that now makes me chuckle (WARNING BR)--DEERS enrollment took so long that it was time to nurse when we got to the clinic for the check up. Walk in hours didn't start for a bit longer so I asked for a spot to nurse and R ran to get Subway for our lunch. I changed C and realized she had pooped through her diaper and outfit-- no spare outfit.
Then, I start nursing her and she's just not having it. Grrr. I go to grab the burp rag and milk goes everywhere! All over the exam table too in the room they let me use. Then, to top it off, it was the first time feeding her in a hard straight back chair with no boppy and I'm still super sore from delivery so that was a no fun.
I get everything cleaned up and situated just as R returns with lunch. Go figure.
Gotta love it!
Lots of prayers to you and baby!!
Exciting! I hope your contractions progress into real labor quickly! Keep us updated!
The mental image I get from this is great! I bet you were so flustered by the time he got back.
Prayers that everything goes smoothly!
Lace: So glad he got to skype in!
Gracie: That image is so funny but I am sure at the time you were just wanting to cry.
It was a long day. I wanted to throat punch my coirker about 5 times today. She is such a smart person but SO SO SO stupid at that same time. She was on the verge of being rude to a VSP director on the phone today. You don't do that ever. She asks the stupidest questions. So so so frustration. I want to scream!!!!
After work I went and set at pep boys for an hour having my battery replaced. I'm now home and ready to crash. Long long day.
Omg I cannot WAIT till I get to deal with stuff like this lol.
OK, now I'm dying to know what you're having L!
Gracie, you poor thing! I think every new momma has a similar story
Mack peed through EVERYTHING for the first month or so, several times he had to wear his sister's clothes-he wet through his and his spare. Babies are a whole new set of rules
She's beautiful.
OMG M I can't believe you're so close! Praying the pre-e stays away and baby girl comes soon!
