understood - enjoy!!
one of my friends kids favorite teacher was commuting from PA down to MoCo for an elementary teaching position until about a few months ago. Bad
A friend's friend is stressing - she's a teacher in PA and is so worried about losing her job.
I hope your time at home is enjoyable!

Just curious, but what about working at a private daycare?
The 4s and up teachers at DD's school all have BAs. Maybe even the 3s and up.
It's an idea that I've explored (trust me, there's very little in the education world I HAVEN'T considered at this point), but even those positions aren't around... Lots for infant rooms at daycares, but I really am not interested in that age group. The other issue is pay - as in, at least in PA, the pay isn't really worth it for what we'd pay in daycare for DS, from what we've priced out.
I would LOVE to teach preschool, but those are rare to open up anyway. I do prefer being in a school setting, truthfully, but we'll reevaluate next year and see where we're at and what the job outlook is for teachers in PA (and maybe then even those infant room positions will seem that much more desirable

Thanks! We're really excited about this opportunity for him, and it's close to my family, which will be nice.
We'll be in south-central PA, which is actually where we've been for 3 of the past 4 years (we're going about 45 mins north of where we are currently). I hopped over here when we lived in Baltimore '09-'10, and just never left when we moved back. Sorry, I don't think you guys can get rid of me; I like it too much over here!
