Nursing Bustier

Does anyone have a nursing bustier to sell or lend out? I can't figure out how I'm going to pump at work while eating lunch at the same time if I don't have one. I believe they were $40 when I looked online and Mercy seems to be the only place in DM to buy one.

I thought maybe I could make one out a sports bra, but I haven't figured out the logistics of that yet and this is my last week at home.

Re: Nursing Bustier

  • I made mine from a sports bra that zips up the front.

Cut holes where the nipples are.

Put the cone on and then slip the neck of the cone through the holes.

    zip.

Attach the bottles to the cone neck on the outside of the bra and go to town!   :)

There's also a hair tie trick that I never mastered. Maybe someone else can expand on that one.

Oh. and I wore a normal bra at work. I just flipped it up and put the sports bra over it when I pumped. Good luck back at work!!

I did the exact same thing as Mrs.Reem.  I was pretty simple.

If I remember correctly, I think kellymom had a link to the hair tie trick.

  • I don't have a zip-up one, but I'm sure that I could just cut down the front and put a button, right?

You could.  I had and back up one when washing my regular one.  It didn't have a zipper.  It worked just fine, it just took a little longer to get everything positioned correctly.

  • I just used a regular sports bra, but I never used it at work. I did use it in the car on the way to work, though! Yes, I pumped while driving to work! Lol! I have mastered holding the horns in place and doing paperwork. And now I'm curious about the hair tie thing! I've never heard of it!
