Health and fitness Wednesday

Realy cracking down on my weight now. Its now or never! I'm almost down 10 lbs from my highest point (which was in May of this year) so it's only down from here :)

I still havent finished the situp challenge....oops...or worked on it much. It's been a little insane here, but that's a crappy excuse.

I DID however, join the gym at work! Yay! Will go tomorrow for the first time :)

  • Great job Kim!!! (on both the weightloss and the gym membership!)

So I think I've figured that I'm not losing weight because of my eating, not because of the working out. I workout enough (3-5x a week) but I haven't really changed my diet at all which would be the reason that I'm not seeing any weight loss. After seeing some of the bpics - I definitely have some weight to lose. I just need to make a commitment to it, make up some weekly menus and stick to it!

  • I'm so mad at myself!  I lost a lb last week but I'm up TWO today after this long weekend.  I haven't worked out since Saturday, and I'm sure that has something to do with it as well, but I didn't follow my diet during this long weekend of celebrations.  ::kicks self::  I'm now above the number I SWORE I'd never let myself get back to.  I'm still not at my highest, but I'm getting there.  GRRRRR.  I just did 45 minutes on the wii fit, most of it being aerobics (step and running) and I HAVE to fit at least one session in daily.  I'm not happy about that.  Next week is going to be tough too, because I have class daily from 8:30am to 5pm.  This is gonna be rough.

You made my wedding day complete.

  • Ugh, I'm feeling gross lately. Before I graduated grad school in May, I had been really good about watching what I ate, getting some physical activity in etc. I dropped about 5 lbs. (I'm only 5'1, and have always been petite, so it was awesome.) Then in June, I spent 2 weeks at a literacy training for work. My districts table had snacks on it all day every day (chips, candy, you name it) AND we ate lunch out basically every day (except a few where we ordered IN food, like pizza.) I totally out it all back on. And I've been really lazy lately.

I really want to knock it back off before schools starts.  I'm just so damn unmotivated. I love food...and it's hot. I don't wanna go walk/run/work out. And we can't afford a gym membership.

  • I am up to my highest weight.  I started coutning calories today and did a work out at the Y. Trying to decide if I want to rejoin WW or just count calories.  My diet is what gets me. I have trouble with portion control and love sweets.  Plus a lot of going out to eat.  It is so hard!
