4th of July plans

Anyone have any fun plans for the long weekend?

H has Monday and Tuesday off so he gets a four day weekend. We're going to start tearing down wall paper (yay!!!!). Hopefully, it will come down easily (fingers crossed!) because my grandparents had professionals come in and put it up.We're having a HUGE BBQ at church on Sunday and I'm helping out with that. We don't have much planned for the actual 4th except to go to a fireworks show at a Clovis high school. H was able to get us passes from the radio station. We probably won't go until late because it's supposed to be in the neighborhood of 106 that day. Ick! .

    Seriously cleaning the house.

You laugh, but I dropped $100 at target on cleaning supplies today. This house won't know what hit it!

  • I'm not really sure. Dh is down for the count having wrenched his back. I may go see Shakespeare in the park tomorrow, and have invites to swimming at one friend's and hot tubbing at another friend's. Dreading the heat...
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • My DH also has Monday and Tuesday off and I'm really looking forward to spending all that time together and continuing to settle into our new house. We still have a lot of unpacking to do and some projects to start. Tomorrow we're having his scooter fixed and then moving the last odds and ends over from our old place and cleaning it up, snd my sister may come for a visit in the morning. We also have to do a Costco run since we're having a BBQ on Sunday. I'm hosting a Mark makeup party for a friend before the BBQ so it should be a fun day. SIL and her family are coming that day and staying until Tuesday, and then MIL is coming for a quick visit. Anticipating a fun but busy time!

  • DH and I had Friday off so we went to Point Reyes National Seashore. We camped, hiked, kayaked, and on the way back today, we stopped in San Francisco. We had a great time! Tomorrow is probably clean up day but we will attend a 4th of July block party here in East Sac and a cookout at a neighbor's house. Looking forward to it!
  • I plan on getting laid

    (it's my anniversary! Wink)

  • Unpacking was mostly all we did. We were able to see some fireworks from our balcony. We think they were from Universal Studios since that's nearby.
