DD took her first steps on 4th of July... Now she will only do it when you are not watching her... she is funny

We completely finished painting the baby's room last weekend. We are still in the process of painting/putting the faux wood grain on nursery/childhood furniture, but it is turning out really well. We're hoping to be completely done (with the last of 7 coats of paint) by Monday night.

i don't normally aw but I just bought everything i possibly could for DS's bedroom. Im talking crib set, wall decals, lamp, border (not sure if i will use but got them while they were on sale.)
I went to BRU to buy one set... and then with Sheila on the phone checking her internet I picked out a different one. When DH finds out what i did im blaming it all on her...

I've been married for 5 years today!! Dh found a babysitter so we could go out to dinner to celebrate.
I'm nervous about the babysitter, but looking forward to spending a great night with my husband and enjoying some yummy food.
OH! and we get to open our bottle of wine we bought on our honeymoon while we were on a wine tour. Gotta go put that in the frige!

I totally scored a great deal on Will's 4th birthday present. I wanted to get him a battery powered car he could drive around in, but found they were pricey, so I decided to look at resale/consignment stores. Went to my favorite, Baby Baby, in downtown Northville and found they had a Hummer for $135. Didn't get it that day, when I went back, there was a sign that said the battery didn't work and they were selling for $30! So I went back again with my ILs minivan and when I asked about it, the owner said she'd sell it for $10!!!!!! That sucker costs $489 new!!!!
All we had to do was buy a $48 battery and it works great. He's going to be so happy in a couple of weeks.
