Berry Fresh Farm in Adel

We went to Berry Fresh Farm in Adel yesterday to pick raspberries & blueberries. When we got there they were closed (turns out they are only open by appointment now, because the strawberries are gone) but I called the lady and she came out and opened it up for us! She was so sweet. They had a ton of raspberries and blueberries, and their blackberries were ripening. They even had a little "grove" with picnic benches where you could bring a lunch.

I thought it would be fun to do a playdate out there if anyone is interested. We could go pick berries and then eat an early lunch. There's lot of room for the kiddos to run and play too!

Re: Berry Fresh Farm in Adel

  • We're picking berries at Berry Patch Farm (Nevada) today if you'd like to join us. Leaving at 10am and meeting at the blueberries.

  • Just curious- do you know the price per lb at berry patch farms?!
  • All this barry picking talk makes me want to go to my farm and pick some! :)
  • I don't know, but we've picked tons before and never spent more than about $3.

  • I just called!  Their prices are $2.65 per lb for blueberries and $4.00 for red raspberries.  I was curious because I noticed that the farm in Adel charges $6.50 per lb.  Thanks!

  • holy sh!t. those had better be gold plated blueberries in Adel.  ;)

  • I noticed their prices on the web were really expensive, however (maybe they gave us a deal) but we paid $6 for a couple packages of the berries. We definitely didn't pay $6.50/lb.
