I think most people generally buy TOMS to support the cause, rather than to be fashionable... I've heard the wedges are comfy though.

I hate Toms.
It is the aesthetic and the hype for me. They're not cute, I don't care which pair someone has. And I know that it makes people feel like you did a good thing buying them, but you could do as much or more good by just buying decent looking shoes and throwing some cash the way of a local charity. I also hate that people who wear them all the time try to push them (I went to college with a bunch of people like this).

I just think they're really unattractive. Some of the early 20-somethings in my office wear them to work and I can't figure out why.
I just don't like the look of them. Something about them (maybe the stitching? Or the fabrics?) just seem sloppy to me. They're like yuppie Crocs.
