Currently I'm working on down sizing and reorganizing whats left, and just bought some new curtains to brighten up the bedroom (it was a pain in the rear putting them up).
What about y'all? any projects?
Re: Small projects
My husband hates curtains because he always has trouble finding the studs and making everything even and level. I dislike them because dog hair and dust manage to gravitate towards them, so at least nobody's missing out.
My living room furniture is being delivered tomorrow, so I think I might try my hand at building a sofa/console table to go behind the couch and I know my husband would be mighty happy if we got around to building his corner desk.
Lower on the priority list, I need to build a closet in our basement bedroom and figure out more shelving for all the "stuff" that has accumulated down there. MIL finally got sick of being DH's storage unit, so last month they brought a whole car full of junk. How many shot glass chess sets does one dude need?
The Dogs and Us
I'm working on organizing our storage spaces; starting with my closet and the garage.
Ojo, your post made me lol, simply b/c once the garage gets organized/cleaned up I intend to start building some furniture and my first priorities are a console table and a corner desk for my hubby. :-)
Our dresser desperately needs some updating. I am hoping to go to Lowes or Home Depot to get a few bottles of spray paint and new hardware for the drawers.
I have a hard time justifying buying a new dresser when ours works great, it just looks like it was made in 1990. (Which it was)
Surprisingly, once the lumber is cut, it basically goes together just like any flat pack furniture. Some lumber stores will even do complimentary cuts!
I'm waiting for my SIL to give my sewing machine back so I can sew some new curtains for our living room window, and then our kitchen windows. I'm tired of our kitty tearing up our blinds bc she likes to sit in the windows. She can push the curtains out of the way and get up there.
I'm starting to put some craft project ideas together for Christmas decor and gifts.
