So last night, DH and I were lovin' on each other and during intercourse I started to feel pain in my nether-region. I told him to stop and grabbed a mirror (sexy right?) and, low and behold, there is a bump/knot/node of some sort right next to the opening of my girly parts, on my labia. It hurts and is about the size of a shriveled pea. I'm certain there are no STD's for us to be concerned about and, upon doing some online reading (I didn't WebMD it though because I don't want to be told I'm dying) it seems that, from the majority of what I've read, this may be a cyst. I am going to make an appointment this week to get in to see my doctor because it's fuhreaking me out! Maybe it just needs to be drained? Anyone know anything about stuff like this?
I have to admit to all of you, because I can't say it to anyone else - but what if this is why I'm not getting pregnant? Could there be deeper issues here than we were aware of??
I would love your prayers, ladies!
Re: t's & p's needed! TMI post, FYI
Ooooo thoughts and prayers that its nothin! Could be a clogged follicle maybe? If so a hot compress might help it. And at the very least shouldn't hurt it. However I think going to the doctor would be the best move so you can have a thorough check that all is ok!

Eeek anything like that in the nether region automatically is scarier and more painful!
I hope that the doctor can tell you whats up, and get it fixed ASAP. T's and P's that there are not deeper issues here, and that you can get back to baby making.

It could be scar tissue - haven't you been doing it for 30 days straight? LOL
I keed, I keed.
But really, don't freak out, it's probably nothing! My friend had something like that years ago, and I don't remember what they called it, but her OBGYN just removed it and biopsied it, just in case. It turned out to be a whole lotta nothin. Get it checked out asap and let us know what the doc says.
I'm glad you are seeing a Dr. right away, praying that it's not dangerous!
PCOS is also known to cause cysts, and it is a huge cause for fertility issues. . . probably worth asking about?

DH asked me the same thing, but it's not where hair grows...it's really close to the vaginal opening. But who knows - maybe I'm not seeing something that only a doctor can see - I CAN only look that far down there...I'm not THAT flexible.

Hahaha! Do you know that DH whimped out on me at Day 4?! DAY 4?! He always said that when his co-workers begin to complain about their wives not giving it up he just stands there and chuckles because it's the opposite for us. He had grand intentions but it all got to be a little much for my guy very quickly into the challenge. Wouldn't it be hysterical though if the doctor told me it was due to too much friction or something?! Oh I think I'd pee my pants!

Definitely worth asking about - it was something my Dr and I had discussed last December when I had my annual and did additional checking to ensure I was good to go in the baby-making department - who knows if something has transpired since then. I guess I'll be finding out!

Everything is like 50x scarier when it happens *down there*!! I'm glad you're going to see your doctor to determine what this is -- hopefully it's nothing, but if it IS something then at least you'll be well on your way to getting it fixed! Keep us updated, k?
HAHAHA that would be HILARIOUS! I hope that's actually the reason and nothing more serious

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that it is nothing major to worry about!
Lots of T&Ps that it goes away ASAP!
I have had bumps in that general area but they seemed to go away by themselves after a little bit. No chance of STDs here either. Hope it's NBD and they tell you it'll vanish in a few days by itself!
