All right everyone, what are you up to?

It's dead around here.  What have you got going on?  Tell us something, anything!

I'm trying to get some work done but am taking a break for a late lunch.

I just scheduled a bunch of GTGs with friends for the next few days and we'll be eating out like there's no tomorrow for most of the rest of the week.

My office environment so much nicer since the crazy/loud/annoying assistant who used to sit near me was moved to a different floor.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: All right everyone, what are you up to?

  • Work is beyond boring today. Its driving me crazy. I keep asking if anyone needs help with anything but no one has anything for me.

I don't have any plans for the rest of the week or the weekend yet. I REALLY want to go to the beach this weekend but H will be working and I feel bad going without him since he gets out of work at noon.

  • Trying to find where my motivation went. I lost it somewhere between 9 and 9:30.

I have just been doing a lot of reading of the CA trial and verdict.
And chasing my housekeeper down after she pulled a no-show yesterday and so far today as well. I finally called her AGAIN and she asked if she could come tomorrow.

I'm trying to decide if I want to interview other people or just deal with her flakiness.

Currently, huffing & puffing-- I just climbed 4 flights of stairs to my office after walking outside after lunch. I'm a bit winded! Other than that, honestly, just working and doing the stupid daycare search. Blah.
  • And here I thought you were all so quiet because you were crazy busy at work after the holiday weekend.  Post something and entertain me, people! Big Smile

I'm torn.  On the one hand I hate having to chase people down to do the things they're supposed to do and would find someone else who actually wants the work.  On the other hand, if you get rid of her we won't hear any more hilarious housekeeper stories Smile

  • Just making it through the last 1/2 hour of work. Today is my last day for the week. Tomorrow I'll be doing a whole lot of nothing (though I will probably log on from home and do a bit of work) and then Friday we head to the Vineyard for the weekend for our anniversary. I'm super excited - neither of us have ever been!

  • I'm enjoying my first full week off from school... well sort of enjoying it. Yesterday I took my car in for an oil change and spent $550 on new brakes and an oil change. Oh well...

Today I did a little cleaning, prepared my P.O.s for next school year (yay spending other peoples  money!) and went grocery shopping for dinner and lunch tomorrow.

Tomorrow SO and I invited a local artist over for lunch. We have two of her pieces and she has another piece that I really like. (Might be buying more art tomorrow!)

Now off to JP Licks for some  yummy ice cream!

  • I had a really long and uninteresting day today.  The next two days are sure to be the same.  I ended up with heat rash yesterday (from being pregnant I am sure because this is the second time this summer, and it has never previously happened to me) which was annoying.  I can't wait for this weekend.

Ouch!  I hate dealing with car stuff.  Good thing DH is a gear head :)

camedown, sorry about the heat rash, that sucks!

lburkey, happy anniversary!  Hope you have a great time on the Vineyard.  We've never been either, come back and let us know how you liked it.

Punky, I totally agree with RnV!

DS had a Dr.s appointment today, so that's why I wasn't around much. My birthday is on Friday and DH is getting me a shiny new sewing machine (or I should say GOT, but I haven't been given it yet LOL), so I'm going to go to Franklin Mills tomorrow to buy some fabric to make a quilt!

  • Ooo, LadyE, what kind of machine?  I need to learn how to sew, there's just never enough time.

I told him to get me the Brother quilting machine. And basically every accessory I would ever need for quilting LOL. He had a long list!

I have my mother's old machine but it's big and heavy so I never touch it. But I have been really itchy to sew. There are only so many pairs of shorties I can knit, KWIM? haha

An early Happy Birthday to you!  You must be so excited about the sewing machine!  Any other plans for your birthday?

Thanks! My father is babysitting on Friday night and DH is taking me out to one of my favorite restaurants (Basil). So excited!
  • Lburkey, have fun at the Vineyard! I've only been there on day trips, but it's so gorgeous. And happy anniversary!

LadyE- sounds like a delightful birthday. Hope you enjoy it!

It's deadly at work, and boring at home. I'm just trying to get to Friday at 5, and it seems like it's never going to get here.

  • I havent been on in a long time but work has been boring. I am excited for the weekend because me and my BFF are going to P-town. We've never been and just wanted a night away somewhere close.
