made my husband a happy man last night
i sent him to our new stop n shop gas station with my shopping reward/loyalty card and told him to swipe it before he got gas. our car takes plus (middle grade) gas.
we usually get gas in nj and this place is in ny, so he gave me a funny look. total side eye!
i've
been racking up gas points there and don't really understand how the
program works, but we got $1 off per gallon. Saved $15 on gas last
night 
I thought I had 800 points, which would be 80 cents, but I
also thought it capped at 40 cents per transaction. Whatever.
And even without any discount, the regular price was just a few cents more than the nj gas is by his office anyway.
He hasn't stopped talking about this yet - LOL!
He thought he'd go back with the suv, but I had to explain that once it's used, the points are gone until I shop again. haha! He was too excited by this.

When you've known your spouse for 29 years and you are super tired from a long commute and working and kids and life in general, gas prices are what makes an exciting evening! This is just a little bit sad. Woo-hoo for our upcoming date night - obviously much needed!
