Re: Anniversary Plans
We're celebrating the weekend after-but we haven't decided how yet.
The night of our anniversary we're exchanging gifts and ordering take out from the restaurant that catered the wedding.
Our anniversary dinner got kaboshed, thanks to my flight getting changed so that I don't get in until late (10:30) So as of right now we don't have any real plans yet.
I did find out last night that John wants to buy me some sexxy lingerie this Friday when we go shopping for clothing.
Other than that I'm super stumped on what to get him, so I jokingly told him that this could be the gift for both of us. That being said what are you ladies getting your hubby?

We both took Monday off and will probably do a winery for a bit and then a nice dinner somewhere we don't typically go.....
I'd love to go away but it's not in the finances
You should definetly do the cake!!! Few things would make me happier than my husband doing this for me - but sadly I don't think he'd ever think of it!
We are going to the movies and do the fork and screen thing on Saturday.
I will make something for dinner Monday night.
I have no idea what to get Rusty.
Our anniversary is the 18th. DH planned a trip to St. Augustine for us from the 15-19th. He's arranged for a couple massage when we arrive and then a carriage ride after dinner on the night of our anniversary. Other than that, I have no idea what else he's got planned. I do know we're doing the historic-touristy stuff like the fort, old jail, schoolhouse, and "fountain of youth." There's some great shopping in the historical part of town and the beach is really nice, so we'll hit that up too.
He's been so busy with work lately and traveling so often that it'll be nice for us to have a little getaway.
As far as gifts are concerned, we're probably just exchanging cards and calling the massages/carriage ride/dinner/etc our "gift."

We're doing dinner at the Chateau winery that makes the wine we served at our wedding on Saturday night.
On our actual anniversary we are having fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and green beans for dinner and lemon cake for dessert since that was the menu at the wedding. We did this last year since we had such limited funds and we decided to make it a tradition.
Our gifts this year will be new bathrobes. Nothing too exciting, but it fits into the "cotton" theme and it's something we could both really use.
