food storage ?s

So I'm getting ready for some family get-togethers next week and I had to shop for some things last night.  I bought a big carton of blueberries at Costco and plan to use them Tuesday morning.  Do you think they'll be fine if I just keep them in the fridge or should I freeze them?  I don't really want them to get mushy after being frozen, but don't want them to go bad either.

I need to buy a rotisserie(sp?) chicken as well, but we won't be using it until Tues. afternoon.  Will it stay good if I buy it on Friday or should I just wait and buy it Monday?  We'll be at a cabin and I'm not sure where the closest grocery store is and if they will have rotisserie chickens.

 I think I am overthinking this.  :/

Thanks!

Re: food storage ?s

  • I bought my last Costco blueberries a week ago and they're still fine in the fridge.  As for the chicken, I'd wait with that.  Unless you are looking to cut/shred it up and could freeze it and then just defrost it the day you need it.
