We accepted an offer on our house!
I'm so excited! It was a really fair offer that was too good to pass up! Now, the hard part...finding a house to move to that is close to both our jobs, that isn't a complete dump, and that we can both agree on.
Any recommendations on where to live? We currently live in Clawson. We both grew up in Troy and love the area. But, we work in Southfield and Redford so our drives are already a bit far. We were thinking Bloomfield Township so that we'd be closer to Telegraph, but I don't know....

Congratulations! We tried to sell ours, but we are too far underwater. We moved out to Plymouth and LOVE it! It would also be close enough to Redford, you could take Hines Drive, and Southfield, 696 is close. The school system is great here as well.

Try www.moveinmichigan.com to look at houses. I really like the define search feature. It also isn't connect with any real estate agent, which is nice.

I would look in the Farmington, Farmington Hills, Northville, Plymouth, Canton, Livonia area.
We live in Northville and DH works in Southfield off of Lahser, takes about 25-30 minutes to get there. My ILs live in Canton and FIL worked in Redford right off of Telegraph and it took him about 20 minutes.

I was going to say what others said....Plymouth, Northville, Novi, etc. We bought our house in Plymouth last summer and LOVE living there. We're close to downtown and also close to the highway, so it's perfect for us.
I think Bloomfield Twp would be smart. Also, maybe look into some parts of Beverly Hills (or even a couple miles northeast into Birmingham). Royal Oak could even work since you'd be so close to 696 you could easily hop on that to get to Telegraph. Farmington Hills would be similar to Royal Oak commute wise.
Congrats on the house selling, it's so nice to hear of people selling their home for a decent price in this area!
