Hey ladies! DH and I have decided to start eating more healthy and working out so lose some weight. Do you ladies have any good and healthy recommendations/recipes for meals/snacks/desserts? Thanks in advance!
Re: Healthy Recipe Ideas
You may want to check on the health & fitness board too - they have a lot of great ideas over there. but just to get you started... some of my healthy snacks include nuts, wasabi peas, chopped fruit, greek yogurt, hummus w. veggies or crackers, babybel cheess, chopped veggies, grapes and bananas are easy snacks.
read the labels on food that's not organic - be on the look out for anything with high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated soybean/cottonseed/etc oil (these are hidden trans fats). the more you get in the habit of checking ingredients before you buy the faster you'll get at it.
don't forget to let yourself indulge once in a while though - I'd go nuts if I didn't have chocolate or cake sometimes. it's finding a balance that's important.
