With apologies to DCtoLowCounrty, I'm starting this one bc I am about to burst!
I am thankful that my (half) brother and SIL are about to have a baby! Well, since they now live in Australia (BOO!), the baby girl may have already been born.... we're stalking FB so we can get her name and stats! What's very sad is that we may not get to meet her for a year or more... and htat we may not get to see our older niece (Matilda is almost 5), either! My SIL is Australian so the move back there was a great one for her, but ... sad for us.
whatchu got to be thankful for today?

"What is a week-end?"
Re: Thankful Thursday
I am thankful for my newest cousin born July 5th (healthy and happy).
I am thankfor to be back in MD after 3 years in NJ!!!!!
I'm about to have a new niece or nephew soon, too! Like, sometime within the next couple of weeks. So, that's exciting.
P&J - is this the SIL you talked about at the GTG? Something about horses, or bikinis, or Jeruselem. I can't quite remember the details! (I had too many glasses of wine... LOL)
My youngest brother and his wife are coming for the weekend. I am so excited. I missed them so much the last year since they moved to AZ. They are now moving back to East Coast and it will be so much fun to have them within Sunday dinner driving distance again.
I'm also thankful for the slew of babies that my friends will be having over the next few months (seriously 7 are due between December and February and that's not counting the folks due this fall). I'm a little jealous to not be among them but I am very thankful that I finally fit back into all of my clothing, including the skinny dress I am wearing today.
I am thankful that it is Thursday and we only have a day and a half left of the work week.
I am thankful that tonight I am going to a baseball game, on the company's dime, with a lot of great fun people and my hubby.
And I am thankful for the fairly lowkey weekend coming up, after this past weekend's crazy, insane weekend.
I'm thankful that my office is quiet and slow right now. I'm kind of depressed today and just not in the mood for . . . anything, really.
I'm also thankful for Cosi's Bombay chicken salad because I'm having it for lunch and just the thought is cheering me up.
I am also thankful for all of the babies who will be appearing in our circle of friends this summer- a little sad that we're so far away, but happy for their parents to be moving into the next stage with their families.
I am thankful that I decided to take up quilting last election cycle as a way to stay busy, and that all of these new babies will be getting adorable custom quilts to match their nurseries.
I am thankful for my yoga teacher who stretches me so incredibly it is worth the soreness the next day.
I am thankful for my awesome husband who works so hard for us to be able to enjoy a good life together, and that he is such an amazing planner and saver, that we're able to do things that we need to do like buying a new car, without freaking out over cash.
Stand up for something you believe in.
ChCh - you crack me up! it's my sister, in CA, who owns all the horses (want to buy one? she's selling a few! ribbon winners!). My SIL, RR, is originally from Australia. She and my brother (this is the half-bro I didn't know I had) met in East Timor after the coup, when they were both doing relief work for the UN. That was sometime in the late 1990s, I think. They did, at one point, live in Jerusalem, yes - before Jordan, which is where my niece was born (Matilda, for her Aussie heritage, and Yasmin is her middle name, for her birthplace).
Maybe we need another GTG? Lord knows I could USE the wine!
"What is a week-end?"
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
This has been a constant theme so sorry if this is getting old, but I'm thankful that one week today is my last day at work!!!
And I'm also thankful that the universe finally sent me an idea for a target market that I fully believe in and know I can do good for. I can't wait to work up my ideas and conduct informational interviews!
I'm thankful that our appraisal for the house came back as higher than the contract price. Three cheers for instant equity!
I'm also thankful that a friend that had spontaneous twin boys last week delivered with no complications and are at home already! They were 4 and 5 lbs at birth so she did a very good job baking them!
I am thankful that LO slept through the night for the first time on Monday night. He hasn't done it since, but he's not waking up as much as he was before and he's also sleeping in his own room. And now we know he can STTN.
I am also thankful that my big boss (who used to be my direct supervisor, but is now our CEO) is so warm and caring. She always makes sure to recognize the hard work of her staff in public and it makes me feel really good. She gave me some kudos in a meeting today and it made me feel warm and fuzzy.

Thankful, as cheesy at it sounds, that my dad and I are having a date this weekend, just the two of us. (Nats game, if it doesn't rain.)
Thankful that I got home in only 25 minutes yesterday (I left before rush hour), compared to the 2.5-hour one-way commute I endured on Tuesday. (Thanks, 66.)
Thankful that I found an exercise class that I've faithfully attended since January and that has made me actually see results! I've been loving my quads lately and even hubz said, "You're stronger." Score!
Thankful that my friend is finally getting married this weekend (wasn't sure she'd be able to pull off a large destination wedding with no focus to actually plan it), even though we opted not to go (the Bahamas wedding, for those who replied to my post several months ago).

Hey, the Thankful Thursday post isn't "mine" - it's ours as a board. Glad you like it!
I am grateful that DH and I are getting on the ball with our mini-makeover of our living room. Although you may see some "HALP I am decorating-challenged" posts soon.
So many things!
The legal people at my work had to take my laptop at noon today to get some documents off for a case, so I had to go home. After a long lunch with some coworkers. Now I'm doing what work I can while watching I Love the 90s.
I found out my insurance covers homebirth, which isn't a consideration right now but is good to know for the future . . .
And, my Epiphanie bag came today! I've already loaded it up with camera gear.
