I am researching convertible car seats and wanted niner mommas opinions. I know they all have to have a set of standards and anything I get is fine but I just want to know which one you have, do you have just 1? How much was it? Where did you get it? TIA!
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

K-hart, just know I am not talking bad about your car seats at all, I just wanted to share this, so she can keep her options open. My bosses have both a really expensive Britax and a less expensive Safety First (I think) one, each in one car. When I was looking at carseats, they told me not to bother spending all that money on the Britax one, because they actually liked the less expensive one better (I can't remember for what exact reasons and it was not like they disliked the other one). They have a lot of money and she has pretty expensive taste, so I was actually really surprised by this.
Once again, I am not saying there is anything bad about the carseat, I just wanted to share what she told me.
Thanks for the info ladies. I was looking at the Britax because they seem to be the most recommended but they're so expensive. I didn't know if people thought it was worth it or not. I'm liking the Graco right now.
I know I'll need a higher weight/height one since he's so big and I don't want to have to buy a million. In NYS they can switch to a booster at 4 so when we have another who needs the convertible, I'd probably buy the 3 in 1 type booster.
At this point I'm debating getting one for Kevin's car. We hardly use the extra base we got for the infant seat.

Well, as you know, I also have a child who is built like a football player lol. For that reason we got a convertable carseat pretty early, at like 5 1/2 months. He has plenty of room and am fully confident that he will not reach the 40 lb rear facing limit for quite a while. Babies grow at rapid speeds in the beginning and slow down at around 6 months+. Weston was in the 90 percentile and now is in the 70th (he gained 12 lbs in the first 6 months of his life and in the last 6 months only 5). So with all that babble, I am trying to say that he will probably be fine in most 40 lb rear, 65+ lb front facing carseats. Sorry I talk a lot lol!
That's why I'm researching more heavily now. Nate looks like he's 6 months old and my back feels like it's breaking every time I pick up his infant seat. I'm going to keep him in there probably until 6 months. I've been wearing him often in my Ergo and he loves his regular stroller so it's going to be tough to hold out for 3 more months lol.
