Help!! It's my grandparents 60th anniversary and I am 100% clueless as to what to get them! I dont want to get something with the 60th on it because they don't need junk!
Re: 60th Anniversary gift
You could buy one of those pretty double frames (like this) and in one side have a picture from their wedding day and on the other have a picture of them with their children/grandchildren... a "then and now" sort of thing.
If they don't have any nice pictures of the whole family maybe you could coordinate with the other family members and all chip in for a photography session to get some made? We did this for my grandparents' 40th and they loved it.

I like the picture idea.
What do they like to do? Are they big into gardening type? You could buy a nice plant for their house that they could plant and it would grow. Or you could have a tree planted in their name.
Are they into going out to dinner? You could get them a nice dinner (offering to take care of making reservations) to a place they may not splurge on themselves.
Do they not get to see their grandkids very often? You could set up a picnic in a park with everyone and tell your grandparents to just show up. My grandmother enjoys nothing more than spending time with us when we plan something fun to do.
Are they museum goers? You could get a multi day pass to local museums?
Wine of the month club if they are wine drinkers?
I love the frame idea-- or a family scrapbook if you are so inclined. Would it be possible to get all the grandkids and kids together in secret for a photo? Or a photo with everyone -- I know this probably won't work in most families because people spread far and wide.
One scrapbook I saw that was cute (we did it for my pastor when he retired), was everyone got a page and decorated it how they saw fit and then compiled it all together.

What are you looking at?
I really like the picture idea. I think my mom & I are going to try to put a scrapbook together for them.
I would love to do the family photo..but my uncle's wife is a biatch and they can only visit when she needs to visit her parents. We couldn't even coordinate getting everyone together for an anniversary dinner, so I doubt getting us together for a photo would happen!! But if I start now, maybe I could do that for Christmas!
Thanks!
