Poll: which weather forecast site is more accurate?

In your experience?

weather.com or accuweather.com? (Or other, as the case may be.)

The answer to this question will either make me very happy or very sad for our picnicking plans tonight.

Re: Poll: which weather forecast site is more accurate?

  • This is a tough one for me.  If I remember from experience it has been pretty 50/50, but I think it was Accuweather that tends to be more accurate.  Good luck, I hope that your evening turns out great for the picnic.

  • I'm going with accuweather. They seem to be pretty dead on for me usually. Hopefully this rain stops for you by tonight.

  • I'm liking the accuweather responses thus far!

  • I have found NOAA.gov to be the most accurate.  Our weather is particularly tricky, and the local weathermen are correct about 50% of the time.  The mountains here along the front range of the Rockies make forecasting difficult - the weather changes quickly, and we often have 40*-50* temperature differences during a 24 hour period.  Weather.com is worthless, IMO.

  • I'll agree with LesPaul and her vote for NOAA.gov.
  • But accuweather's forecast is more advantageous to me than NOAA.gov's!  Crying  Ha, just kidding, thanks for the reccs, that is helpful.
