I really, really can't stand M's boss.
We have a wedding today. He took off months ago for it and the boss said it was fine. About two weeks ago she took it back and said she needed him to work. He asked if he could take it as a summer half day instead (he's supposed to get 4, it's a half day and he works from home in the morning). She said fine. YESTERDAY, she said no, I need you in the office. He said fine, but I'm still leaving for the wedding - and she acted disgruntaled about it.
The last time there was a busy week, she took off to go to Disney because she said M could cover it. So, you expect him to cover for you for a week but you can't even okay him a half day for a wedding? Redic.
And it totally throws plans for the day. We were going to sleep in a little later and then leave about an hour before. Instead, we had to get up earlier so I could drop M off at the train and then I'll be leaving about 2 hours ahead of time so I can get over to M's work, pick him up and then make it up to the wedding.
I really want to smack her for being so inconsiderate.
Re: Rant
yuck! Sorry he/you have to deal with that. What does he do again?
I love "gem" bosses-Sean totally has 4, yep 4. His office is the same style as Office Space, TPS memos and all.
Jenny McCarthy = Former Playmate and MTV host
Pediatrician = Doctor with extensive experience and education on children.
Bumpies = Don't get me started!
I know who I get my health advice from!
What are you looking at?
He's in finanace.
It's even more frusterating because it was never like this before - everything was great up until a few months ago when the big boss left. The trickle-down affect has been awful.

Ugh! He should have lied and said that the wedding was further away and he needed the travel time. (Not that he should have to do that when he was told he had the day off) Unnecessary stress!
Well I hope that you both are able to enjoy the wedding today.
