Outlander Question Poss Series Spoilers
Ok ladies who have read the series...
(I also posted this on the NBC board but I know Sarah B doesn't turn down a chance to discuss it.)
I'm listening to it now. (First audio book ever - not sure about this quite yet. I wanted to do a re-read but don't have time right now.)
I'm at the part before Claire travels back and Frank sees someone looking into her window. Do we ever find out who that is? It can't be Jamie right because he can't travel? Is it his ghost? I think this time around I'm going to catch a ton of things I missed the first time.
ETA: One of the girls on NBC went to a DG signing last night and she said she is hoping to finish writing book 8 by the end of 2012 which would sadly push the publication date to 2013. I'll go nuts! (And is it crazy I'm thinking of spending $35 on an autographed copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition?)

I have only read the first two books...
But, if you read the discussion questions in the back of the first book (at least on the e-book), it asks about this. If the reader thinks it is Jamie's ghost. That is what I'm inclined to think, because his ghost would obviously know about Claire, when and where she came from, etc. Have you read the whole series? Maybe it is mentioned again.

I have read the whole series I don't remember it being mentioned again but a girl on NBC said it is. I have to go look and see if she responded with more info yet.
I figure it has to be Jamie's ghost but knowing the rest of the series Diana doesn't just throw random things in there. It seems there is a purpose for everything and everything leads to something.

I think it's Jaime's ghost. There isn't any other reference to it that I can remember, at least not with any clues as to who it is.
I read something on her website that everything will come full circle in the final book (which might be book 8 or possibly 9).
The waiting between books is agony. And I paid more than $35 for Echo (because I bought the hardcover when it came out, and also because I now own all 7 books on my nook) and it wasn't autographed.
