At 3:00 I will FINALLY be on vacation for 9 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!
Today/tonight: Clean the house, get the guest bedroom set up for my brother, run to Target, get some laundry done
Tomorrow: grab some groceries, prep some food for vacation, maybe catch a movie, we'll probably have a fire on the deck and hang out with my brother when he gets in...
Sunday: pack for our trip! Not sure if my brother is staying over again, so that will also depend on our plans...
Re: TGIF!!! Weekend Plans?
Today: My only plan is to buy cat food. Exciting. Maybe I'll try to touch up the room we just painted. Or do some of the things on my "what I'm avoiding" list.
Tomorrow: Getting together with friends for DH's belated birthday lunch.
Sunday: Brunch and wineries in Charlottesville
SSW: Enjoy your vacation!
Today: Work, work out, maybe just chill at home since it will likely be too wet to go to Friday Night Live.
Saturday: Work out, prep for last week at work (write thank-yous, shop for cute non-frumpy outfit, etc.), celebratory family anniversary dinner, and Otto's hosting a band jam at our house.
Sunday: Work out, clean the last of the paint dust/plaster dust from every freaking surface of our living room and my office, hopefully time for some office organization too, and meeting up at Il Fornaio w/family we've traveled to Sardinia with because they're having their "Taste of Sardinia" menu.
tonight: laundry and probably watching the town (since we've had it for a week!)
tomorrow: calling my gram to wish her a happy 86th birthday
tidying up our messy apartment, grocery store, haircut for DH, and hopefully a dinner date with DH since i'm still disappointed about last weekend's zaytinya fail.
sunday: sleeping in, figuring out exactly what we're wearing/packing for a wedding in MA next weekend, mani/pedi for me, some xbox time for DH, and i'll probably wreck said manicure while making dinner.
today: work. blah. pizza dinner with my parents likely
tomorrow: IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!! hopefully i'll be sleeping in (as in, past 6am) and taking a mid-morning nap. i'm getting a massage and then having dinner with DH at my favorite restaurant, then birthday brownies (special request, i'm totally craving brownies these days and if i'm going to spend the calories, i'd rather have them than cake/ice cream) with my parents and finally, kicking off the night with fireworks in Old Town. i
fireworks!
sunday: work in the morning...big project due at work next week. afternoon at Sunflowers Healing and Wellness for my first "Birth Stories" class. bringing back my first student families to share their birth stories with my current students. (hi! if you are on here! see you and your babies on sunday!!)
Happy birthday, LindsayJW!
Pretty quiet weekend for me. Tonight: Clean house before my parents get to town.
Tomorrow: Help my dad install the bookshelves he made for me. Help with any other repairs that need to be done around the house that DH or I can't do. Ray's the Steaks for dinner (although I am still bitter that they took their coconut cream pie off the menu).
Sunday: Possibly take my dad to the Pentagon memorial, which he has expressed an interest in seeing; in reality, he will probably be antsy to get back home and they'll leave in the AM. Paint old bookshelves to match the new ones. Maybe do some of the HOA stuff I mentioned in the procrastination post, but that is probably unlikely...

Happy Birthday LindseyJW!
Tonight--National Symphony Orchestra with some friends. (hoping the rain holds off, since it's outdoors.)
Tomorrow--my husband has a soccer tournament begining at 8:00 am and then we have a block party at 8:00 pm.
Sunday--if they win, soccer game at 10:00, if not, then pool time and hanging out with the puppy.
Tonight: hopefully Happy Hour with some friends and movie tonight
Tomorrow: Run with H, pick out paint for new house, possibly get a few things from Home Depot, pooltime, and packing
Sunday: Run with running buddy, mass, grocery shopping, pool, and packing...lots of packing! Oh and I need to make a quilt square for grandmother's 90th birthday quilt.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Happy Birthday, Lindsey!
Today, I actually finally motivated on my desk project. I have primed and put the first coat of paint on, even ran out to pick up some wine at lunch (sadly, not to drink today!) I'd like to finish it tonight and let it cure through the weekend before I put it all back together Monday. Otherwise, painting my nails, maybe take a nice bath and soak some of the paint off, read a book, bed early to get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow.
Tomorrow/Sunday - I am heading up to the Philly 'burbs to my brother/SIL's house for the weekend... my sister is flying in from Chicago and we plan to relax around their gorgeous pool all day and then do a little girl's night downtown on Saturday night. Sunday, more pool and then I'll head back at some point Sunday night. I am SO looking forward to seeing them - they are so awesome and so much fun - and their house is like moving into a country club or a fancy hotel... I just loooove it there!
SSW - have a great vacation!!
thanks for all the bday wishes!
i hope everyone enjoys their fun weekend plans...wish i had a pool time in mine, but i'm not in pool shape yet!
SSW - have a great vacation!
Tonight: I got home at 7 from 2 weeks with my family/friends in Upstate NY. We went out for dinner then relaxed at home, planning our vacation for August -- hopefully a long weekend in Chicago!
Tomorrow: I unpack, do laundry, and re-pack for the next trip. DH just informed me he has to go into work tomorrow so I might tag along and we might try and do something fun in Frederick. Otherwise, relaxing at home, with hopefully a quick trip to the gym.
Sunday: I fly out for a week at the University of Connecticut. I'll be at the yearly major conference in my field (gifted & talented education) and I'm super excited. I've been once before, and the best of the best/top names are there. I leave feeling refreshed and excited to get back and use some of the new ideas in my teaching. I'm in such a specialized field (only one of us at each school, some split between two schools), you end up feeling so isolated at times. So, it's so great to spend a week surrounded by other people who really 'get it'.
