My newest crafty project!!! PIP

Ok so I stumbled on this great blog via Pinterest (love) that gave instructions on making crepe paper rosettes!  So I went to Dollar Tree, bought a bunch of crepe paper, and started rolling!  Here are instructions:

And here is my creation so far!!!!!  (the other side of the 3" styrofoam ball is yet to be covered.  Two rolls of crepe paper will probably finish this up.  Next I want to make a wreath or something bigger!!!

  • That is so cool and very pretty! How long did it take to do all that? What are you going to do with it when you're done?

    Thanks everyone!!

Liz, I just gave the decorative ball a try first, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it - probably display it the way the blog shows it in a decorative tray or bowl.  That took me about 1.5 hours while watching the Yankee game last night.   Now that I've gotten the hang of it, I want to make something like a wreath for the door, or even use the rosettes to frame a photo or mirror.  Now that would be cool!

That will look really nice. I have no decorative stuff in my house, but I really like those.

I was thinking a red and green wreath would be so pretty for Christmas or red, yellow and orange for the Fall. There are so many possibilities!
