lost/stolen purse

this sucks!

I put it on top of my car as I was putting Sprout into his carseat at the Lee-Harrison Harris Teeter.  When I got home, I realized I didn't have it.  I'm not sure if it was stolen (i remember a guy walking oddly close to us) or if it fell off (although I've driven/walked the route).

So, if you happen to be in that shopping center & randomly see a yellow cloth wristlet with birds on it, let me know.  I'm so sad b/c it had my phone on it with videos of Sprout doing things he no longer does & I don't have copies of them.

back up your phones, people!!!

Today was such a good day too.Broken Heart

Re: lost/stolen purse

  • Oh bummer!  I'm so sorry, Kastle.

Don't lose hope -- people find things and return them, I am living proof.  When we were in Rome, I lost my wallet that had all my money and ID (thankfully I still had my passport.)  I realized it was gone immediately, scoured the area, and found nothing.  We spent our last evening in Rome in a police station.

Six weeks later, I got it in the mail (minus some money, but who cares?)  An English tour operator saw it, snapped it up, and mailed it to me in the states when she returned from her Italy tour.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that someone very helpful already found your bag and is figuring out how to get it to you!

  • i'm sorry, that really sucks :(

  • Oh no!

I'll be on the lookout when I get groceries this weekend.

  • should i call the police about this?  i'm already cancelling credit cards & suspended my phone account.
  • Yes, i would, especially b/c of potential identity theft.

Indifferent   i hadn't thought about that.

    fcuk.

  • Oh no, that sucks! I hope someone honest finds it and returns it to you.

You should def. call the police, but also call your cell company. They can probably disable the phone so if someone shady finds it and tries to make calls they can't.

When you talk with your c/c folks, ask about putting a fraud alert on your account.  IT should trigger a flag if someone tries to open an account.

  • I'm several days late, but my heart just sank for you.  That is such an awful thing to have happen :(
