Re: Interesting article
Ok, I read their "demands" and feel some are crazy, I mean more TV channels ? REALLY ? YOU are in PRISON. You're lucky you get TV.
I understand trying to get more letters etc... but again prison isn't sleep away camp.
IDK awhat the "debreifing " thing is but I guess if it's sketchy i could kinda see protesting that...
IDK I guess if they want to protest, it's their right... but not eating is crazy to me
Prison should suck. It should suck so bad that it's a deterrent to committing a crime. Some people in prison live better than they would if they were on their own, and it's known that some released convicts re-offend just to go BACK to jail.
Unless they're being beaten, or denied food/water/medical care, or forced to live in seriously hazardous conditions they need to just hush up and do their time.
And if these prisoners CHOOSE to not eat, even when food is being provided to them, that is their choice. I don't think anyone but the individual should be responsible for the consequences of that.
I agree with all of this. I am just floored by the prisoners feeling they have the right to demand anything. They can refuse food all they want, just like my toddler. I offer it, she doesn't have to eat it but that is ALL I am offering.
